In our Nordhorn „fabric paradise“–as our customers like to call it–we welcome you to make your own discoveries within our racks, as well as stock up on our beloved Basics.
The fabrics and collections in this blog post will either be available for purchase or pre-order at our In-House Exhibition.

The highlighted fabrics being premiered at the In-House Exhibition will only be available for sale on site in Nordhorn to our visiting customers during the week of the exhibition. We will not be accepting orders by telephone, nor over the Internet, nor will we reserve any product for later sale.
Several of the fabrics made available during the exhibition will be available for ordering in the weeks following in the Swafing Online Shop and may be ordered at that time. While supplies last, remaining highlight fabrics will become available for purchase in the Swafing Onlineshop once the In-House Exhibition has come to an end.
New Spring Designer Collections
It is our custom to premier new fabrics from our three Swafing Exclusive designers, Andrea Müller, Anke Müller and Sandra Prüßmeier have each chosen very different themes to focus on, so as to offer you a wide variety to match every interest: Jerseys for sports fans big and little, jerseys for all other sewing fanatics or apparel fabrics for women in a marvelous brand new sweatshirt jersey!
Be a Champion – Football Knit Jersey from Jolijou

Sewing is awesome! Let the world know with the very clothes on your back what gets your creative heart pounding with the new Cherry Picking „Sewing“ knit jersey. From the creative mind of Anke Müller comes to you this fun fabric covered in sewing-related items: lovingly drawn sewing machines, measuring tapes, rotary cutters, shears, and all manner of sewing notions and bric-a-brac abound. Even irons and clothing hangers are found in the mix. Curving and curling stitching lines really add movement to the design.

Four marvelous new apparel fabrics may be pre-ordered at the In-House Exhibition, which will inaugurate a much larger Lila-Lotta women’s collection.
Joyeux from Lila-Lotta
Designer Sandra Prüßmeier kicks off 2016 with a wonderful new women’s wear Donna Collection. To start, we will be introducing four summer-weight sweatshirt jerseys carrying the joyful name „Joyeux“, which will mix and match perfectly with all the Lila-Lotta Donna Collection fabrics to come in 2016.
Delicate humming birds hover on this wonderful new Swafing material in two colourways. Whether in fetching blue tones or elegant grey with kicks of acid green, magenta, red and putty, these fabric are sure to please fashionistas everywhere.
Only upon second glance do the darling humming birds reveal themselves from the camouflage of the smaller scaled design. The two larger scale coordinating fabrics feature a fluttering swarm of brightly illustrated humming birds.
Trendy tweens and teens are sure to want their own „Joyeux“ pieces, as well.
This new Swafing material has a pleasing hand and works well for dresses, skirts and loose-fitting tops. Furthermore, the addition of Modal to the cotton blend offers a luxurious feel against the skin.
Modal, like rayon, is a natural-based man-made fiber produced from wood cellulose. Modal fibers, however, offer more tensile strength, are smoother and more absorbent than rayon. Modal is more elastic, holds its shape better and wrinkles less than rayon. A small amount of Lycra/Elastane is added to this Swafing summer-weight fabric to offer both width- and lengthwise stretch. „Joyeux“ carries the „Confidence in Textiles“/Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification.

Fairytale fantasy décor-weight fabric „Mila Zwergenland“
Just in time for the In-House Exhibition, Farbenmix treats us to a brand new „Taschenspieler 3“ CD. „Taschenspieler 3“ is a collection of handbag and accessory sewing patterns and instructions , available in German language only. But the many, many photographs and videos surely speak thousands of words in any language to anyone with basic sewing knowledge.
The design examples featured on the CD highlight this beautiful, digitally printed decorator-weight „Mila“ fabric, „Zwergenland“, which will be made available at the In-House Exhibition. „Zwergenland“ is a fairytale come true featuring deers, gnomes, fly agaric mushrooms, blossoms, blooms, magic apples, soap bubbles and the frog prince himself. „Mila Zwergenland“ is „Confidence in Textiles“/Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.

Border print knit jerseys — discover the possibilities!
Because of the print orientation, border prints can be worked with in a number of ways: a full skirt with the print dancing around the hemline, a longer dress cut from a single piece, or leggings with a darling print at the ankles are just a few of the many possibilities.
These beautiful designs are repeated lengthwise along the selvedge. The opposite selvedge can be used as the combining fabric, for example, as sleeves or shirt back pieces.

Beppo is a Swafing fan favourite. When we introduced the generous Beppo woven collection, many of our customers asked whether this delightful little fellow might not also become available on knit jersey.
You asked and we listened! This Spring we are happy to be able to welcome you into Beppo’s little world: As fluffy clouds drift by and colourful birds sing in a turquoise blue sky, our little Beppo is busy below working in his flower beds. Our combining fabric is a damask design of turquoise medallions on a pretty pink background.
„Miss Strawberry“ knit jerseys

The fabric’s content is the key: To this cotton/rayon blend is added a bit of polyester for added durability and Lycra/Elastane for stretch. We can envision pretty knit dresses, elegant tops and easy-going cardigans, and so much more stitched up from this high-quality material. „Lisa“ comes to you in nine colours. Lightweight knit ribbing „Heike“:
This new knit ribbing variety is quite a bit lighter in weight than our much beloved „Anni“ ribbing, and is therefore just the thing to add, for example, to cuffs and collars of lighter weight tops. „Heike“ features excellent elasticity and recovery–you will love it!
„Heike“ is our answer to your many requests for a lighter weight knit ribbing option and this new product rounds off such Swafing classics as „Andre“ and „Anni“ to a T. „Heike“ is, as you would expect no less from Swafing, „Confidence in Textiles“/Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.

Our heathered Basics sweatshirt jersey „Jenna“ and knit jersey „Jaro“ are perfectly rounded off by our new knit ribbing „Jenaro“. „Jenaro“ offers an interesting play of colour with its many variations in tone and works well in creating trendy looks for any age.
