On Wednesday 20 August at 19:00 CEST, we will be presenting our various Inhouse Exhibition August 25 trade fair highlights at www.swafing.de/en/show/, on YouTube and on Facebook. You can still watch this presentation after the initial broadcast. On Friday, 22 August around 9:00 a.m., the special sale of the Swafing in-house exhibition will start and you can buy our exhibition highlights while stocks last.
Almost all items are available from stock while stocks last and will be dispatched as soon as we receive your order, so you’ll have your new fabrics in your hands the week after the fair opens! Others will be delivered shortly afterwards. In addition to the special sale, we cordially invite you to the in-house exhibition on site from 29-31 August 2025!

Trend qualities: Mohair, leo plush & stretch knit
Every season there are some very special favourites and qualities that are in high demand. This also applies to the August in-house fair! Look forward to the fantastically cosy mohair fluffy bouclé Tundra and the trendy and cuddly soft leo plush Punami as well as the cool Nicky velvet Kelz!
Tundra – Mohair-bouclé
With Tundra, a very special cuddly dream is entering the Swafing in-house exhibition collection! The new mohair fleece bouclé is the perfect alternative to the classic fleece fabrics and impresses with its modern, trendy look. The absolute must-have for the coming season!
What makes it special: Tundra has a fluffy surface with fine hairs that shimmer in natural tones – making it look elegant, lively and cosy at the same time. In addition to the warm sand tone, classic black is of course also included – two timeless colours that can be combined in a variety of ways.
The fabric is super soft, cosy and non-scratchy. Thanks to its pleasant feel and slightly yielding texture, it is very comfortable to wear and not at all stiff. Another plus point: the back is so beautifully finished that Tundra doesn’t necessarily need to be lined – it can be, but doesn’t have to be!
Whether for long coats, short jackets, waistcoats or cosy cardigans – Tundra can be used to create a wide range of styles. The quality also cuts a great figure in the children’s sector: warm, soft and wonderfully comfortable.
Particularly exciting: Tundra can be perfectly combined with other trendy qualities – rib jersey Mia and cotton jersey Leska are ideal as linings for coats or jackets! This opens up even more creative possibilities for your favourite pieces.

Leo plush Punami
A trend that nobody can ignore this season: leo patterns! With Punami, Swafing is now bringing the popular animal print into the collection as a cosy plush fabric.
The super-soft, slightly stretchy plush feels pleasant, is beautifully fluffy and looks modern and stylish at the same time. This makes it perfect for jackets, waistcoats and coats – cosy favourites for the transitional period, autumn and winter.
Punami is also a great choice for accessories: whether bags, tablet or laptop covers, decorative cushions or small highlights such as bobbles and appliqués – the leo plush sets special accents and gives every item that certain something. In addition to the classic clothing ideas, punami can also be used for bags – as a stylish plush bag, but also as an attractive plush appliqué on other materials as an eye-catcher – a great effect if you combine faux leather with the leo plush, for example. Nicky velvet stretch Kelz
Kelz is a high-quality velvet stretch fabric that impresses with its special quality: heavier, dimensionally stable and absolutely not floppy. The silky, shimmering surface has a sophisticated look and makes the fabric attractive for both casual and festive sewing ideas. Another advantage: Kelz does not bulge – it retains its shape even after prolonged wear. This makes it ideal not only for clothing, but also for creative decorative projects.

Whether hoodies, casual house suits/loungewear, comfortable leisurewear or elegant festive dresses – Kelz offers countless possibilities. The velvety nicky look with a light velour character always creates a special look.

Velvet quilting with dot embossing – Galant & Samos
A brand new quality is causing a stir: velvet quilting with dot embossing! The fine embossing creates a special texture that looks modern and at the same time makes the fabric robust and easy to care for. The great thing is that the quilts do not fray, can be easily cut to size and retain their shape.
This special velvet quilting is available in two versions: Galant as a plain and Samos with different patterns. Both qualities are not only wonderful to work with individually, but can also be perfectly combined with each other. Ideal for the current bag trend!
Galant – plain quilted velvet with dot embossing
Galant comes in four classic colours: Dusky pink, red, blue and black. The elegant embossing gives the fabric an elegant look that is ideal for bags, rucksacks, pouches and accessories. It is also ideal for upholstering seating furniture or for home decoration. One advantage: Galant is extremely hard-wearing (Martindale > 100,000 cycles) and is therefore also the right choice for projects subject to heavy use. The dot embossing means that there are no open threads, making it particularly pleasant to work with.
Galant looks so elegant: from classic shoulder bags to modern crossbody bags. The use in combination with Rex metallic faux leather, which perfectly matches the plain colours, is also particularly attractive. Samos: Patterned quilted velvet with dot embossing
Samos is the patterned version of the new trend quality – perfect for anyone who wants to create a highlight. With its beautiful designs, it brings even more variety into play: from leopard patterns in pink, petrol or grey to ornaments in harmonious colour schemes and floral motifs with intense radiance.
These can be used to create bags and rucksacks with an absolute wow effect. Just like Galant, Samos is suitable for sturdy bag projects, accessories and home decoration. Particularly beautiful: combination models of Galant and Samos or Samos and Rex-metallic show how well the patterns harmonise with plain fabrics in different qualities.
Whether a leo bag in combination with black Rex, an ornamental rucksack with metallic accents or a floral bag with coloured leather details – Samos makes a statement and there is something for every taste.

Quilted jersey
Anni and Anni-melange are two new quilted jerseys in the Swafing range that immediately catch the eye with their 3 cm high diamond quilting. Both qualities are quilted, which gives them a beautiful structure and a non-slip drape. They are perfectly colour-coordinated with the Swafing basics so that jersey fabrics, ribbed jerseys and cuffs can be combined to match.
Anni diamond quilting jersey in plain colours
The quilted quilting jersey with 3 cm diamond quilting is available in four modern solid colours that can be wonderfully combined with Swafing’s basic items: from dusky pink (436) to sage (267) and khaki (764) to classic dark blue (597). Wonderfully coordinated with Sweat Eike, Jersey Vanessa, French Terry Maike and the Heike cuff – simply choose the same colour number and everything matches.
The non-slip yet soft quality makes Anni a versatile fabric for clothing and accessories. Ideal for jackets, waistcoats, cosy hoodies or skirts. Mottled quilted jersey Anni-melange
In addition to Anni, there is Anni-melange – the version with an elegant melange look. Here too, the 3 cm diamond quilting characterises the look, while the padding ensures dimensional stability and volume. The colours are perfectly coordinated with Swafing’s melange basics such as Eike-melange, Maike-melange, Vanessa-melange and Heike-melange.
Available in the most popular colours in the melange range: beige (1173), taupe (1675), light grey (1183) and anthracite (1789), which makes it possible to create particularly versatile styles. The fabrics are ideal for sporty and elegant jackets, cosy loungewear, skirts or jumpers. They can also be used to make small furniture covers, decorative cushions, seat covers or other home accessories – the mottled look and padding provide a sophisticated, textile depth.

Mia rib jersey
Ribbed jersey is still in vogue – textured fabrics are very popular and give every item that certain something thanks to their surface. Our Mia rib jersey impresses with its beautiful quality and pleasantly soft drape. The new design features filigree flowers and delicate twigs that drape lightly and playfully over the natural-coloured background. The four colourways each have their own mood: Denim blue for a cool, classic touch, pink-berry for fresh accents, terracotta with a touch of warmth and elegance and beige-brown in warm natural tones.
The styles show how versatile Mia can be sewn: Shirts with turtlenecks or puffed sleeves look particularly elegant thanks to the ribbed structure and delicate floral print. The trousers made of French terry denim also go well with the look. Mia is versatile: it is suitable for shirts, tops, dresses, skirts, loungewear, underwear, vests, cropped tops, trousers, bloomers, hats and accessories. Batik is all the rage! The soft cotton jersey features a vibrant batik pattern with cloudy colour gradients for a modern and dynamic look. Leska is one of our absolute favourites! A cotton jersey in fantastic quality that immediately catches the eye with its expressive animal prints and floral design.
The designs at a glance:
- Tiger print in warm brown tones – vibrant, powerful and yet elegant. A real statement pattern that immediately creates a fashionable feeling.
- Zebra stripes in black, anthracite and natural – rich in contrast, classic and ultra-modern at the same time.
- Leo in natural and brown tones – a wonderfully calm interpretation, not wild, but elegant and versatile.

Leska is a real all-rounder for dresses, shirts, skirts, jumpsuits and tunics. Whether for everyday wear, in the office or combined with statement accessories in the evening – the designs add a trendy touch to any outfit. In combination with our bouclé tundra, you can also create unique coats, waistcoats or hooded jackets. As a lining, hood or even as a small detail that just peeks out of the pocket – the mix of animal print and bouclé is the perfect winter statement combination and a modern oversized coat is the must-have piece for the coming season.
Animal prints are here to stay – leo, zebra & co. are among the absolute all-time favourites in the fashion world. What’s new is that the natural and beige tones that we have mainly seen in children’s fashion are now also finding their place in adult fashion – in a stylish, calm and modern interpretation.

French Terry
Modal French Terry Kairo
Modal French terry is so versatile: it is ideal for sweatshirts, hoodies, cardigans and dresses, but also for cosy homewear, sporty looks or stylish loungewear. The beautiful drape also makes softly swinging skirts or elegant shirts possible. Kairo is even suitable for children’s clothing!
Thanks to the modal content, Kairo is incredibly soft, cosy and breathable. The fabric has an elegant, flowing drape, but at the same time has a better grip than jersey and therefore retains its shape better. It feels pleasant against the skin and is extremely comfortable to wear – perfect for anyone who appreciates comfortable yet stylish clothing.
Kairo covers the entire spectrum from feminine floral prints to modern graphic patterns:
- Abstract designs: irregular stripes in black and beige as well as petrol and beige – modern and minimalist, perfect for urban outfits.

Back again: French Terry denim with a denim look
French terry denim really lives up to its name – the non-roughened sweat has such a deceptively real denim look that you really have to look twice! This gorgeous material was so popular with you and has also sold well in the shops, so we’re very happy to bring it out again in great colours, including familiar and completely new colours!
The colour palette ranges from soft shades such as sand, lilac and sage to stronger variants in berry, brown and petrol and classics such as grey, dark blue and black-brown. All colours are slightly mottled, which perfectly rounds off the authentic denim look.
Such great quality: French terry denim is ideal for trendy, cosy denim-look sweatpants and shorts, but of course also for hoodies and sweat jackets – or should that be denim jackets? In any case, French terry in a denim pattern is absolutely universal and appeals to both children and adults. It is often difficult to find great fabrics, especially for older boys, teens and men – we are delighted to be able to offer such cool denim French terry! Of course, they are also ideal for women and girls and for the little ones for cute „jeans trousers“ that are super comfy!
For hoodies, trousers, house suits and loungewear, fake jeans/jeggings, leggings, for children, teens, men and women – French Terry denim is really incredibly versatile and suitable for everyone!

With Silas (cotton jersey) and Sina (French terry), there are now two perfect fabric qualities for all young and old construction site fans! Both qualities feature bright yellow excavators, tipper lorries and construction vehicles, which look particularly good on khaki or petrol.
Silas features smaller motifs on cotton jersey – perfect for shirts, bloomers, leggings or pyjamas.

Sina comes with larger motifs on French Terry, ideal for hoodies, sweatshirts, comfortable trousers or cool sets for school and kindergarten.
Children are fascinated by vehicles – excavators, lorries etc. stimulate their imagination and not only accompany them when they play, but now also in their favourite self-sewn outfits. With Silas & Sina, we are delighted to be able to offer two qualities that will bring a sparkle to the eyes of boys in particular, but also car-loving girls!

Nick brushed sweat
Nick is a brushed sweat with construction vehicles on the popular Eike melange fabric with child-friendly print motifs. Excavators, tipper trucks and the like roll across soft, mottled sweat: Nick features yellow construction site vehicles with little hats and details in grey/orange. The drawing style is clearly contoured and slightly illustrative – cheerful, but not over the top. The melange background gives the print a pleasantly calm and modern look; the fine mélange lends depth and a „lively“ look. The motifs are particularly effective on beige, sage and anthracite – three versatile shades that go with many outfits.

Many children are fascinated by vehicles – regardless of their gender. We are delighted to be able to offer Nick, a beautiful „building site“ fabric suitable for everyday use for boys and car-loving girls – as well as for baby and toddler fashion, of course. Perfect for hoodies, sweatshirts, jogging bottoms, sets for nursery and school, comfy homewear, bloomers, beanies/loops or cosy pyjamas. The quality is brushed on the inside – soft, comfortable and ideal for favourite items that are worn often.
Combination tip: Nick is printed on Eike-melange. The last four digits of the colour number correspond to the matching basic colours in Eike-melange, Heike-melange (sweat), Vanessa-melange (cuffs) and Maike-melange (jersey) – so everything can be combined tone-in-tone. The model examples show this wonderfully: for example, a beige hoodie with matching Heike cuffs or grey/sage looks with matching jersey or French terry as a combination fabric.

French Terry Little Fox & Friends
Super cute French terry for autumn looks! Little Fox & Friends enchants with a dreamlike drawing style: delicate watercolour tones meet playful motifs that immediately stimulate the imagination. There are two designs to choose from – the cute little fox in a hot air balloon in front of soft clouds in pastel shades, available on nature and in a heavenly colour gradient in pink-blue, as well as the cheerful forest animals floating through the air in balloons made of apple or pear, on nature and on teal.

With Bill and Bob, we have two absolute highlights for all fans of colourful building blocks! Both fabrics feature the iconic building block design in vibrant colours – Bill as a fine cotton woven fabric with smaller blocks, Bob as a robust canvas with slightly larger blocks.

Bill is particularly versatile: in addition to the building block design, the cotton woven fabric is also available with cool vehicles – from fire engines, police and ambulances to concrete mixers and lorries. There is also a choice of different colours so that the right combination can be found for every project.
Canvas Bob

Both qualities are ideal for children’s projects: school bags, gym bags, toy bags, cushions or small bags can be sewn quickly and make children’s eyes light up. The models shown here demonstrate this impressively – from the cheerful and colourful school bag to the lunch bag, pencil case, balance bike bag, the practical sports bag/gym bag and the bag for building blocks. Our tip: A pull-together play mat is a little miracle in the children’s room and is so quick and easy to sew. As soon as playtime is over, buildings, bricks and figures can be tidied away in no time at all. Simply pull the cord together and the bricks disappear safely into the bag. This keeps the room tidy and guarantees that nothing gets lost.
We don’t want to withhold a special model from you: The school cone with the name „Hans Gerd“. Admittedly, little Hans-Gerd has been out of school for a while 😉 But that just goes to show how timeless this design is: whether for children starting school or for adults with a sense of humour – sewing with Bill and Bob is simply fun!

About the designer
Marie-Claire Brandt is 32 years old, a trained make-up artist and lives in the beautiful Black Forest. With Canadian roots and a great love of nature, her favourite source of inspiration is walking through the forest. Drawing was her passion even as a child, and today she is passionate about surface pattern design. Under the name Claire’s Creative Forest, she designs playful, nature-inspired patterns that bring joy and inspire dreams.
With Garden of Dreams, she is now celebrating her debut at Swafing – we are delighted to be able to present this special collection at the in-house exhibition!

With her debut collection Garden of Dreams, she brings the beauty of nature to our fabrics. Flowers play a central role in her life – in her garden as well as in her creative work. This is reflected in the four enchanting designs, each of which reflects very different styles: sometimes simple and minimalist, sometimes relaxed and sketchy, sometimes elegant and striking or playfully botanically inspired.

We are pleased to introduce another new designer at the in-house exhibition: Tina Siepmann with her label JaTiJu!
About the designer
Behind JaTiJu is Tina Siepmann from the german Ruhr area. The name of her label is a combination of her sons‘ first names and the street name of her home in the Ruhr area. Creativity is a constant companion for Tina – she is always on the move, full of ideas and with a great passion for textile design and illustration. She has already penned many fabric designs, and with Arctic Animals she is now taking off at Swafing!
Cotton jersey Arctic Animals by JaTiJu
With her debut collection Arctic Animals, she brings the fascinating animal world of the Arctic to cotton jersey. Whether it’s a polar bear family, playful orcas, seals with big googly eyes, cuddly arctic foxes or penguin parents with their offspring – each of the five motifs inspires with loving illustrations and a harmonious colour scheme in deep blue. Delicate stripes, polka dots or graphic accents in the background make the designs look particularly lively.

Holy Cow by Mrs Mint Design
With her new Holy Cow collection, Anita Eberhardt alias Mrs Mint Design is once again bringing her unmistakable signature to our fabrics. The designer’s popular children’s fabrics inspire with lovingly detailed illustrations – and this time the Scottish Highland Cows take centre stage.
We love the fun, 50 cm high French terry panels: two different cow motifs, each with its own charm – one with a shy sideways glance, the other a cheerful smile with little teeth. Thanks to the ideal panel height of approx. 50 cm, the motifs can be used perfectly in children’s outfits, from shirts and hoodies to dresses and sets.
There are also matching all-over designs featuring friendly highland cattle on soft watercolour backgrounds, which complement the panels perfectly and offer plenty of scope for harmonious combinations. Winter Moods by Thorsten Berger
With his new Winter Moods series, Thorsten Berger brings hand-drawn motifs full of humour, coolness and winter atmosphere to cotton sweatshirt. The collection radiates „good vibes“ for the cold season – whether as a Christmas jumper, hoodie or cool outfits for the whole family.
Breadman
The coolest gingerbread hero of all time: Breadman! With bright orange and red colours on a dark background, this motif is a real eye-catcher. The matching combination of blue and black tones makes the panel even more versatile.
Driving Home
Reindeer Rudi is on the road! He’s travelling through the wintry snow flurries on his moped at high speed. The motif brings dynamism to sewing projects and is accompanied by a matching combination fabric with striped snowflakes.
Santa is coming to Town

Canvas Cherry Picking Bag – DIY bag panel from Cherry Picking

The bag panel „Cherry Picking Bag“ is a very special DIY panel and it has caused a lot of enthusiasm the last few times and has also gone down well in the shops! Anke from Cherry Picking has once again created four great new bag designs for you for the in-house exhibition. We present the Cherry Picking Bag 2025: „Not my Circus, not my Monkeys“ and the trendy dachshund or the cheeky lady and the cute popcorn bucket with western boots!
You can sew two great bags from each panel with the matching lining fabric! A reversible bag is of course also possible. Everything is so lovingly designed and well thought out! We recommend using faux leather Rex or Rex metallic – your bag will be super stable!
Ideal for sewing beginners: the pattern is already printed on the fabric – just cut it out and start sewing! With the detailed tutorial, sewing these great bags is child’s play. In addition to the bag fabric, the 100 cm high panels with the practical cutting line each contain two inside pockets (one of which is for sunglasses), plus fun labels and embellishments as well as decorative ribbons that can be sewn onto the straps of the bag handles. Of course, you can mix and match to your heart’s content so that each bag is absolutely unique.
There are two different panels, each with two pockets. The panels are approx. 100 cm high.
The size of the bag is simply ideal – even a file folder fits into the spacious shopper. Ideal for school / university / work, as a shoulder bag / shopping bag or for the next big fabric purchase! Alternatively, you can sew cushions from the panel and use the remaining pieces of fabric from the bottom of the bag or the inside pockets to make small bags or the bag straps to make lanyards – get creative!
There is a detailed tutorial for the „Cherry Picking Bag“ panel so that anyone can easily sew these great bags! You can sew two bags from one panel with matching lining fabric (for example, faux leather Rex or canvas Calvin or the trendy corduroy Wanja) and some webbing! Everything fits together so well – it’s so much fun to discover all the lovely details. Ideal as a special gift, as a workshop theme, for live sewalongs or – combined with combination fabric, webbing and haberdashery – as a practical sewing kit!
