Padua – Viscose-linen fabric
Padua is a beautiful viscose-linen fabric with a natural linen look and a modern leaf design. The combination of the lightly textured linen look in the background and the fine black outlines of the leaves creates a particularly contemporary yet pleasantly timeless appearance. The quality is wonderfully lightweight and therefore an ideal fabric for summer garments. The linen content gives the fabric its natural, slightly textured look, while the viscose ensures a soft hand feel and a beautiful drape. Padua feels pleasantly light to wear and is perfect for airy clothing.
The fabric is very versatile and is particularly well suited to trousers, scarves as well as loose blouses, tunics or lightweight tops. It is also a beautiful choice for summer dresses or skirts.

Wanja – Favourite fabric in exclusive new colours
It all began in Cologne – and this is exactly where the success story continues. Wanja has now become one of those fabrics that simply cannot be missing at h+h cologne. Four years ago, this popular corduroy velvet was first presented alongside the well-known Swafing sofa, and since then Wanja has become a true favourite fabric for many customers.
The coarsely ribbed corduroy velvet impresses with its velvety-soft surface, its distinctive texture and a beautiful, slightly iridescent look. The wide rib creates a striking visual effect and gives the fabric a very special character. At the same time, Wanja is pleasantly tactile, dimensionally stable and extremely durable. Thanks to its high abrasion resistance and high Martindale value, the fabric is ideal for many different applications.
Wanja is also a real eye-catcher in clothing. The particularly wide rib creates a striking corduroy texture – in fact, calling it “wide cord” is almost an understatement. Wanja features a plush rib with a generous width of around one centimetre, making it perfect for real statement pieces. Emmeline – Spring-inspired tapestry with delicate floral design
Emmeline is a decorative tapestry fabric with a beautiful spring and summer design. On the light background, a delicate floral pattern unfolds with fine blossoms, slender stems and leaves. Coated cotton – Alsfeld coated
Alsfeld coated is a tried-and-tested quality for many creative and practical sewing projects. The decorative fabric features a special coating that creates a particularly easy-care surface which can simply be wiped clean if needed. This makes Alsfeld coated ideal for projects that are frequently used in everyday life while still looking beautiful.
The new designs offer a varied selection of modern and decorative patterns. From colourful leaves and small dots to graphic checks, mosaic patterns and geometric designs, there is something for many tastes.
The floral designs featuring leaves and ginkgo leaves on a natural-coloured background look particularly harmonious in fresh shades of green, sage and beige. Some variants feature brighter summer colours and therefore add fresh and lively accents.
The coated surface makes Alsfeld coated especially versatile. Classic uses include tablecloths, table runners or placemats for the kitchen, balcony or terrace. New at Swafing: Sarah Mariam
At h+h cologne we are delighted to introduce a new designer: Sarah Giama and her label Sarah Mariam, already well known in the sewing community for her popular bag patterns and her inspiring Instagram channel. With her collection Flowing Bloom, she is now bringing her own fabric designs to Swafing for the first time.
About the designer
Sarah Giama has been working full-time as a flight attendant for over 25 years. Sewing originally started as a hobby for her, but over time it developed into a great passion – especially sewing bags. On Instagram she was frequently asked which patterns or fabrics she used for her bags. Often she had to reply that exactly those designs or patterns simply did not yet exist.
So she began teaching herself everything and started developing her own bag patterns. Her goal was to sew bags that perfectly matched her own style – and to use fabrics that did not yet exist in this form. Today she inspires many sewing enthusiasts with her carefully constructed bag patterns and shares her projects and videos on social media.
For her own bags she repeatedly had fabrics printed with her personal favourite designs. These designs caught our attention – and we are absolutely delighted to now be able to offer them as a fabric collection at Swafing.
Flowing Bloom by Sarah Mariam
The Flowing Bloom collection combines two very different design worlds that complement each other beautifully. On the one hand there are flowing, abstract motifs with liquid art elements, and on the other hand detailed floral designs. Both styles intertwine to create a collection that is modern, expressive and at the same time wonderfully versatile to combine.
The liquid designs evoke the look of flowing colours, gemstones or polished minerals. Colour gradients in petrol, blue, apricot, rose or cream appear like melted pigments flowing gently across the fabric.
In some variants, golden accents create a particularly elegant effect.
Some designs resemble crystalline structures or marble textures, while others display soft, organic colour gradients. The result is a modern, almost luxurious look that works particularly well on bags and accessories.
The second design world features floral motifs created with great attention to detail. Delicate blossoms in rose, apricot or lilac meet backgrounds in light blue, dark blue, petrol or cream. Some variants appear light and airy with fine blossoms and leaves, while others show more abundant floral arrangements with different leaf shapes and berries.
Particularly beautiful are combinations of apricot-coloured flowers on dark backgrounds such as navy or petrol, as well as harmonious variants with sage, cream and green tones.
Each design is expressive on its own but can also be combined beautifully with the others. The collection offers both calm colour palettes and stronger colour statements, opening up many creative possibilities.
The designs are printed on a robust Oxford quality, which is particularly suitable for bag projects. Backpacks, shoppers, crossbody bags, weekenders or cosmetic pouches gain a very distinctive look through these designs. Smaller accessories such as cases, organisers or toiletry bags can also be sewn beautifully from this fabric. Thanks to its water-repellent and durable surface, the quality is also ideal for outdoor projects. Dog bags, diaper bags or practical everyday companions benefit from the fabric’s robust characteristics. The fabric is also often used for clothing such as lightweight jackets, coats or functional vests.
Flowing Bloom looks especially beautiful when combined with other materials. Combinations with canvas, webbing or faux leather add additional structure to bag projects and highlight the expressive designs.

Canvas Wilma
Wilma is a decorative cotton canvas featuring modern nature motifs and graphic designs. The collection includes a variety of patterns ranging from geometric shapes and floral motifs to fruity illustrations. Particularly beautiful is a coordinated trio consisting of a large floral motif, a matching stripe and a smaller pattern. These designs work wonderfully both together and individually.
The different designs are harmoniously coordinated in colour and combine beautifully with one another. Natural tones, shades of green and fresh accents interact to create many possibilities for creative projects. The fabrics also look particularly harmonious when combined with Swafing basics such as Rom, Calvin or Wanja.

Beach Canvas & Beach Jersey by Christiane Zielinski
With the Beach collection by Christiane Zielinski, true summer feeling arrives. The lovingly illustrated motifs created with watercolours capture scenes from the world of the sea, the beach and favourite summer moments. The designs are available in two qualities: as a decorative canvas with a linen look and as a soft cotton jersey for summer clothing.
Beach Canvas
The charming watercolour illustrations by Christiane Zielinski depict many small scenes from the world of summer and the sea. Cute clownfish swim among aquatic plants and meet gentle sea turtles, while seagulls circle around a lighthouse and evoke memories of a walk along the beach.

Beach Jersey
The Beach motifs by Christiane Zielinski bring a light summer feeling to cotton jersey and are perfect for shirts, dresses and many other sewing projects, especially for children’s clothing and relaxed summer outfits.
The designs feature many typical scenes from the world of summer and the sea. Modal French Terry Kanani by käselotti
With Kanani, Käselotti presents an expressive modal French terry that immediately catches the eye with its large-scale, colourful design. The motif is built around a lively composition of vibrant colour fields, floral elements and a striking elephant motif that can appear in very different ways depending on the cut and placement. The bold colours feel both modern and playful and create a truly impressive visual impact.
Thanks to the large scale of the design, new looks emerge again and again during cutting. The elephant head, for example, can be placed on the back of a hoodie or sweater, appear as a striking front motif or become a special detail inside a kangaroo pocket. Individual parts of the design can also be used selectively, giving every sewing project its own unique look.

Monsta Collection by Thorsten Berger
With the MONSTA Collection, Thorsten Berger brings three monstrously creative ideas to fabric: a French terry featuring expressive monster panels with matching yardage as well as two lovingly designed DIY panels for Monsta Bags and Monsta Pillows. All three articles explore the same playful monster world and can be combined beautifully – perfect for creative projects, gift ideas and real favourite pieces.
French Terry Monsta
A cuddly MONSTA quartet creates plenty of monster character on this French terry. The four monster heads are large, expressive and full of personality – each with its own colour palette, its own fur structure and a unique facial expression. The bold colours and large-scale panel design make every piece an instant eye-catcher. In total, four different panels are available.
The panel design is perfect for hoodies, sweaters or cosy homewear. The lovingly designed panels already contain all the important elements for the projects directly on the fabric. The pattern pieces are simply cut out and sewn together step by step – allowing unique Monsta buddies with their own personalities to emerge in no time.

Cotton Jersey Hello Robot! by Mrs. Mint Design
BEEP BEEP! With Hello Robot! by Mrs. Mint Design, a charming robot world arrives on cotton jersey. The playful illustrations feature friendly robots whose rounded shapes, antennas and small details immediately create a sense of charm and character. Inspired by the idea of a future where robots are loyal companions and playmates, this imaginative design is perfect for curious young explorers and little heroes of tomorrow.
The robots appear in shades of petrol and grey and are placed on two different backgrounds: a calm silver grey and a deep night blue. With Flowerpop, Sonja Verhoek from HIP SOM HAP brings a true explosion of colour and joy to fabric. The hand-painted flowers are created using markers and brushes and intentionally retain their small irregularities – visible brushstrokes, lively colour transitions and a free, dynamic line style.
The colour palette is clear and radiant: magenta, turquoise, sunny yellow, orange, coral and a hint of aqua meet and create a vibrant effect without appearing overloaded. Canvas Cherry Picking Bag – DIY bag panel by Cherry Picking
The Cherry Picking Bag is one of Cherry Picking’s most popular DIY panels – and the latest edition once again features two new panels with a total of four original bag designs. Each panel is approximately 100 cm high and contains the pattern pieces for two bags, printed directly onto the fabric.
Anke from Cherry Picking has once again created four new, lovingly designed patterns for the Cherry Picking Bag 2026. On the first panel, a charmingly illustrated dachshund and retro roller skates put you in a good mood.
The colourful backgrounds and graphic combination patterns make the bags real eye-catchers. The designs look particularly lovely when combined with Swafing Wanja – for example in trendy lilac, which matches the colours of the designs perfectly.

Long Story – The XXL tape measure as a fabric panel
After its great success last year, Long Story is back. This special cotton jacquard with its extra-long tape measure design delighted many customers and inspired countless creative projects. From scarves and jackets to blankets and home accessories, this panel impressively demonstrates just how versatile a fabric can be.
The XXL panel is approximately 2.50 metres high and features an oversized tape measure motif that immediately catches the eye. The soft, pleasantly textured jacquard quality made from pure cotton is lightly brushed and especially comfortable to wear. For the new edition, three new colourways are being introduced, each giving the characteristic tape measure motif a completely different effect. With Jin and Jin Melange, two especially versatile cotton knit qualities are joining the range. The soft cotton knit with elastane stands out thanks to its pleasant stretch and shape retention: after being stretched, the fabric returns to its original shape and does not lose its form. This makes it ideal for a wide variety of sewing projects – from clothing to accessories.

Traditionally, we also present Christmas fabrics in our trade fair collection at h+h cologne – because now is the time to plan the assortment for the second half of the year. Sweat, cotton jersey, canvas and cotton woven fabrics, and even a festive DIY panel – ideal for all winter and Christmas sewing ideas.
Canvas Christmas
Christmas is a versatile Christmas collection on high-quality cotton canvas that combines classic winter motifs with a modern, calm colour palette. The designs pick up typical elements of the Christmas season and reinterpret them in stylish graphic patterns.
The collection includes several harmoniously coordinated designs. Delicate branch motifs, stylised pine cones, large ice crystals, decorative Christmas baubles and a small-scale all-over design with gentle colour gradients provide variety and can be combined beautifully with one another. The mix of delicate nature-inspired motifs and graphic elements feels festive and modern at the same time.
The fabrics appear in a winter-inspired palette of natural tones, dusty rose, grey, burgundy and olive green. These calm colours give the Christmas fabrics an elegant appearance and make them especially versatile to combine.
The sturdy yet easy-to-sew cotton canvas is ideal for many creative Christmas projects: beautiful tablecloths, table runners, placemats, decorative trees, napkins, bags, organisers, gift sacks, advent calendars and much more. The possibilities are wonderfully varied.

Cotton Woven Fabric Joyful Christmas
Joyful Christmas is an atmospheric Christmas collection on cotton canvas that combines classic winter motifs with a fresh and friendly colour palette. The designs pick up typical symbols of the Christmas season and reinterpret them in a modern, decorative visual language.
The series includes several lovingly designed motifs such as fir trees, stars, branches, baubles and small graphic ornaments, which are distributed across the fabric to create a festive yet calm effect. The motifs feel both playful and harmonious and can be combined beautifully with one another.
The colour palette combines winter classics with warm accents. Natural shades, soft reds, green tones and subtle contrasts create a cosy festive atmosphere and make the fabrics very versatile. Thanks to the coordinated colours, the different designs in the collection work very well together.

Cotton Woven Fabric Casper
With Casper, a charming winter collection arrives on cotton woven fabric, instantly evoking cosy winter days and the run-up to Christmas with its lovingly illustrated designs. The main motif of the series features small, intricately designed gingerbread houses that look as if they have come straight out of a winter fairy tale, giving the fabric a playful and nostalgic touch.
The designs appear in three colourways. One version shows the gingerbread houses on a natural-coloured background, giving the motifs a particularly classic and warm appearance. The second version presents the design on a light blue background, creating a fresh winter atmosphere. The third colourway appears on a denim blue background, making it look slightly bolder and more modern. The small repeated gingerbread house motif makes the fabric very versatile and creates a calm, harmonious overall effect.

DIY Panel Adventskalender in Cotton Woven Fabric
The Adventskalender article is a practical advent calendar panel made from cotton woven fabric that makes it very easy to sew an individual advent calendar. The panel has a height of 75 cm and already includes all the pieces for 24 small bags, printed directly onto the fabric.
The design picks up current trend colours and therefore looks especially modern and harmonious. Natural tones, beige and dusty rose create a calm, warm colour palette that fits beautifully into the winter and Christmas season while also combining very well with other fabrics.
The panel has been deliberately designed to be simple and practical so that the advent calendar can be sewn quickly and no instructions are needed. The individual pieces are already printed on the fabric, so they only need to be cut out, folded over and sewn together. This also makes the panel ideal for beginners, sewing classes or quick DIY projects during the run-up to Christmas.

Cotton Jersey Mistletoe by Lausemia Design
Mistletoe is an atmospheric winter design on cotton jersey inspired by a very personal Christmas tradition of the designer. During winter walks with her family, she collects mistletoe sprigs every year, ties them into small bundles and gives them to family and friends. This inspired the idea for a seamless pattern of illustrated mistletoe sprigs.
The design features delicate mistletoe sprigs with berries, arranged as a calm all-over pattern across the fabric. The illustration feels modern and clear, yet also detailed and lovingly designed. The motif is printed on a natural-coloured background, while the twigs and leaves appear in different shades of green and are complemented by the typical bright berries. The deliberately reduced colour palette ensures that the fabric remains especially versatile to combine.
The soft cotton jersey is perfect for many winter garments. It looks particularly beautiful in sweaters, shirts, pyjamas or cosy homewear, but can also be used to sew lovely dresses for the Christmas season.

Ho, ho, ho! We love the anticipation, the gift-giving and above all the time spent with family. The new fun Christmas sweats make the festive season even more enjoyable. The sweats are suitable for young and old, boys and girls, women and men – in other words, for the whole family. Best of all, everyone can choose their favourite design. And as a little bonus, our hardworking Christmas elf sample sewing team had already finished the Christmas cards back in March.

Christmas Sweat Holly
Holly has long been one of the popular classics of the winter Swafing collections. The brushed sweat fabric stands out thanks to its cosy, soft quality and cheerful winter and Christmas motifs, which bring new ideas and variations every year.
This season, Holly once again delights with a wide range of designs. Playful candy canes, sweets and lollipops in red and white create a classic Christmas mood. Added to this are lovingly illustrated figures such as elves, a reindeer with a string of lights and the popular Christmas dachshund, which appears in two colourways – once on mint and once on a dark blue background.
A special highlight is the humorous Ugly Sweater designs. Here, a colourful mix of motifs comes together: radios, llamas, unicorns, monstera leaves, dinosaurs and swans all appear together in a deliberately quirky and playful all-over design. The collection is complemented by little dinosaurs on skis carrying presents on their backs, an especially cute variation for children.
For those who prefer something a little calmer, there are also elegant winter branches and holly berries. These appear in darker colourways such as dark blue or black with sage and gold tones and bring a modern, stylish Christmas atmosphere to the fabric.
The brushed sweat is pleasantly soft, warming and very comfortable to wear. Holly is perfect for hoodies, sweaters, lounge sets, jogging trousers or cosy winter outfits. It also works beautifully for children’s clothing, pyjamas or family looks for the Christmas season.
With Holly, the last three digits of the colour number are coordinated with the basic articles. For example, cuff fabric Heike 636 matches all Holly fabrics with the ending 636. Jersey, sweat, French terry or cuffs can therefore be combined perfectly with the Swafing basics.
