Canvas Cherry Picking Bag – DIY bag panel by Cherry Picking

– Pre-order vor delivery in November –

The bag panel „Cherry Picking Bag“ is a very special DIY panel and it was a huge hit last time! Anke from Cherry Picking has therefore created four new great bag designs for you for the in-house exhibition: The realistic disco ball and the button „Don’t let idiots ruin your day“ on lilac check as well as the cool tiger on black & white and the delicious popcorn. You can sew two great bags from each panel with the matching lining fabric! A reversible bag is of course also possible. Everything is so lovingly designed and well thought out!

Ideal for beginners: the pattern is already printed on the fabric – just cut it out and start sewing! With the detailed tutorial, sewing these great bags is child’s play. In addition to the bag fabric, the 100 cm high panels with the practical cutting line each contain two inside pockets (one of which is for sunglasses), plus fun labels and embellishments as well as decorative ribbons that can be sewn onto the straps of the bag handles. Of course, you can mix and match to your heart’s content so that each bag is absolutely unique.

There are two different panels, each with two pockets. The panels are approx. 100 cm high.

The size of the bag is simply ideal – even a file folder fits into the spacious shopper. Ideal for school / university / work, as a shoulder bag / shopping bag or for the next big fabric purchase! Alternatively, you could sew cushions from the panel and use the remaining pieces of fabric from the bottom of the bag or the inside pockets to make small bags or the bag straps to make lanyards – get creative!

There is a detailed tutorial for the „Cherry Picking Bag“ panel so that anyone can easily sew these great bags! You can sew two bags from one panel with matching lining fabric (for example, Rex faux leather or Calvin canvas or the trendy Wanja corduroy) and some webbing! Everything fits together so well – it’s so much fun to discover all the lovely details. Ideal as a special gift, as a workshop theme, for live sewalongs or – combined with combination fabric, webbing and haberdashery – as a practical sewing kit!

Cherry Picking Canvas „The Happy Canvas Story“

– Pre-order for delivery in November –

We were so impressed by this fabric at our recent Friday meeting that we added it to our in-house collection at very short notice – the cheerful retro designs were already available exclusively at Cherry Picking. Many people have also requested the great patterns for the specialised trade.
The Cherry Picking Canvas is now also available for retailers! Canvas is totally on trend and you can’t get enough of it. The great, soft canvas quality and the mega colours and patterns are ideal for bags, pouches, utensils and rucksacks for young and old. Of course, you can also sew clothing such as trousers, jackets and skirts from this robust material. We also use it to make cushions and lounger pads – or use it as an eye-catcher in your campervan! Our tip: You can also use the striking motifs as wonderful appliqués and cut patches from them.
The Happy Canvas Story is available with roller skates on mustard, emerald and lilac, with retro typewriters on anthracite and emerald, the cute dachshunds on pink, apricot and anthracite and the chewing gum machines on mustard and anthracite. Of course, the checks are also a must – lilac, emerald, mustard and anthracite – great for combining, but also so cool on their own!
For pure cherry picking, you can combine The Happy Canvas Story with the Cherry Picking Bag and line the inside with these little treasures instead of faux leather. Also great with Parma decorative velvet!

Flower Dream by made.by.colu

– New: Winner of the kreativSelbst fabric design challenge! Pre-order for delivery in November –

We are delighted to present the winner of the kreativSelbst fabric design challenge and her first Swafing fabric collection! Corinna Falcone is well known in the creative scene. The graphic designer has devoted herself increasingly to illustration in recent years and thus came to Andrea Müller’s kreativSelbst and the fabric design challenge. Corinna lives with her family and her dog in the Allgäu region and loves to draw and design patterns. Her work is inspired by her love of nature, the mountains and especially the beautiful Allgäu cows.

For the winning design of the creative competition, Corinna used trend colours 2025: dark blue, coral, pink and a blush/gold tone. Her dreamlike floral design shows the „sugar bush“ / protea flowers – partly with filled-in blossoms, partly just with outlines, it immediately captivated us. So expressive and stylish, something very special! You don’t need an exciting pattern, the design really comes into its own. We liked the design so much that we asked Corinna to make a whole series out of it.

It is a great honour for us to be able to offer the winning fabric as part of the Flower Dream collection on the popular modal French terry! There are also large format stylised cherry blossoms and two smaller patterned designs with blossoms and wildflowers – all in the trendy colour palette. There’s something for everyone! Thanks to the modal content, the new „Flower Dream“ French terry has a wonderfully soft drape and feel and is very comfortable to wear. Can be used universally for jackets, hoodies, blazers, dresses, jumpers, shirts and trousers!

In our highlights show on Wednesday 14 August you can see two great dresses from the Flower Dream collection!

Garden Stories by Emjo-Design

– New at Swafing! Pre-order for delivery in November –

Claudia Grunert is the creative mind behind Emjo-Design. The qualified teacher has been bursting with creative ideas since her childhood and became involved in fashion and design at an early age. In the teaching profession, however, the creative side of things was neglected in the long run, so she plucked up all her courage to launch Emjo-Design and approach us at h+h cologne! We are delighted to present the first Emjo-Design fabric collection for Swafing, the „Garden Stories“!

Canvas Garden Stories

Fabrics tell so many stories – the motifs, the colours, but also the textures and the feel stimulate all our senses and inspire us. Even when they are sewn, we experience many exciting stories with the pieces sewn from them: Favourite bags and favourite items of clothing accompany us in everyday life and on special occasions. The rucksack that we had with us on a special trip, the nursery bag that our child used to get used to going to nursery, the clutch that we took to our best friend’s wedding… Life writes many stories and unique items that we sew ourselves are an important part of them! What stories will you tell with the Garden Stories fabrics from Emjo-Design?
Canvas in a great quality made of 100 % cotton, ideal for bags, purses, rucksacks, clothing, cushions and much more!

Thanks to the Garden Stories sample sewing team: Creativemadre, frau_hasenpfeffer, garnaeht, itssharimade, jacksewie, lilibeth_kreativ, meinanderesich, m_aus_w, nanik.design, Needle & Love, NKBLN, subi_kreativ, _unikath_ and Emjo-Design

Designer fabrics – While stocks last!

Bruce & Friends by Mrs. Mint Design

Anita aka Mrs Mint Design is the winner of last year’s design competition and we are so happy that we have already been able to realise so many beautiful fabrics together! Now there is a new article from the Swiss designer!
Did you know that bats are the ultimate party animals? They are the only ones who hang out in the dark and look cool doing it! The three different bats were drawn with great attention to detail using the watercolour technique.
Bruce and his friends don’t just delight girls and boys aged between 2 and 10 on Halloween. And who knows, maybe they’ll fly past your house at dusk.
Bruce the bat and his spider friends are at home on cosy cotton jersey. The main design with Bruce and the spiders is available in khaki and emerald with the matching combination fabric with spiders and spider webs only. You can play with it wonderfully and make leggings or sleeves from the spider design and the front and back of the shirt from the fabric with Bruce and Friends. A cool reversible jacket would also be possible – one side with bats, on the other the spiders are alone and the bat has flown out.

Not in the mood for spiders? No problem, the bats are also available without creepy-crawlies in a beautiful sand colour and trendy lilac. A beautiful combination range that is also perfect for Halloween outfits – so cool in combination with tulle spider web!

Pilzhausen by Eda & Mo

Gisi Dürr lives with her family in Münsterland. The self-employed children’s book author loves to tell stories. She has been doing this very successfully on fabric for five years. We are very much looking forward to the collaboration and the first Eda & Mo designer fabrics!

Deep in the dark pine forest just behind the big rock lies Pilzhausen. You have to look very closely to recognise it among the many trees. And if you look a little closer, you will recognise who lives there in the red mushrooms with the large white dots. It’s Bruno the bear, Mr Ohnesorge the rabbit and Nirvana the vixen. And not to forget: The little dormouse Leonore. The little forest animals that live here experience many wonderful adventures and stories.

Five lovely designs in three colours: The centrepiece of the collection is the mushroom house, from which the forest animals look out. Bears, foxes, bunnies, deer and birds stimulate the imagination. The designs with the fox in the forest, the smaller mushrooms, the fine stripes with mini mushrooms and the confetti design, which can also be wonderfully sewn into shirts and dresses for adults, are a perfect match.

Everything can be combined so beautifully, but is also gorgeous on its own! The comfortable jerseys are of course ideal for children’s clothing such as shirts, dresses, trousers, hats and more – but can also be used as an inner lining for full-length jackets and overalls.
Pilzhausen comes on cotton jersey in emerald, dark blue and a beautiful shade of brown. Here is an overview of the designs using the colour 265 / emerald:

Pilzhausen by Eda & Mo *082436* Cotton jersey made of 95 % cotton, 5 % elastane, approx. 200 g/m², 150 cm, certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition from 16 August while stocks last.

There are two new collections from Sabine Marschall for the in-house exhibition! With cosy cotton jersey and cuddly sweat you are ready for autumn and winter!

Hello Autumn by Sabine Marschall

We welcome autumn with these cute children’s fabrics in two designs and two colourways each. Squirrels and hedgehogs are an essential part of an autumn design! These cute animals enjoy autumn: the squirrel in its cute outfit collects acorns as supplies for the winter. The hedgehogs fly kites on a beautiful autumn day and have lots of fun doing it.

We love autumn and with these beautiful fabrics and being outside in nature, it’s even more fun! Ideal for children’s clothing such as shirts, leggings, dresses, jackets, accessories, but also so beautiful as linings for overalls or coats made from Walk/boiled wool Naomi. The squirrel and the matching acorn design are available in natural white and a beautiful reed shade, the hedgehogs and their dragons in natural white and grey.

Hello Autumn by Sabine Marschall *082331* Cotton jersey made of 95 % cotton, 5 % elastane, approx. 200 g/m², 150 cm, certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available at the Swafing in-house exhibition from 16 August while stocks last.

Funtarktis by Sabine Marschall

Funtarktis – Fun meets Antarctica! Who hasn’t experienced it: as soon as the first snow comes, the children dash outside and run around in the snow. In designer Sabine Marschall’s family, a snowman is built as soon as the first snow falls, no matter how little it is. She wanted to capture these moments on a fabric design. This is how the cute penguins were created. There are two designs in three beautiful colours: Soft pink, dove blue and natural. The penguins are building a snowman and enjoying the snow. The combination fabric with ice crystals, stars and snowflakes also looks wonderful on its own!

The comfortable French terry follows your every move and is ideal for hoodies, dresses, sweatshirts, trousers and accessories!

Xmas Vibes by Thorsten Berger Illustration

The new Berger fabric series Xmas Vibes in wonderful French terry quality ensures „good vibes“ in the winter/Christmas season. Three hand-drawn panel motifs, each with a matching all-over, are guaranteed to spread „Oh, Merry Christmas“ cheer this year with a wink and are perfect for creating casual Christmas/winter outfits on the sewing machine or sewing as gifts for your favourite people. Ideal for kids, teens and adults and absolutely unisex. Who can hear the Christmas bells ringing?

Design „HoHoHo“

The classic Christmas „HoHoHo“ from Santa Claus is strikingly staged here as a panel motif. Perhaps Santa has already had one too many mulled wines or is already finishing work? Maybe he’s just pulled his hat down for a moment and is having a little nap, because handing out presents is guaranteed to be exhausting… Whatever your interpretation – this cuddly Santa Claus is definitely an eye-catcher with a guaranteed smile.

The panel background with a graphic ice crystal structure in various shades of blue conjures up a wintry atmosphere on the fabric and the all-over can be sewn on its own to create great jumpers, hoodies, long sleeves and much more. The HoHoHo lettering runs along the edge – ideal for great effects on the hood or on a sleeve!
Design “

Design „Schöne Bescherung“

Lamm Lenny had actually imagined Christmas Eve to be quite different… But hopefully, with a stylish „short hairstyle“, things will continue to rock around the Christmas tree. Yeah!
The panel motif with the cuddly lamb is definitely a different Christmas motif. With a twinkle in the eye, it conjures up a glamorous Christmas glitter look that is guaranteed to put you in a good mood under the Christmas tree and a whole lot of „Oh, merry Christmas“…
The matching all-over Christmas glamour look is sure to make jumpers, hoodies and other items sparkle.

Design „Hamster Barney“

The Christmas/winter period is the best time ever for Barney the hamster. As a real biscuit junkie, biscuits and sweets naturally don’t go undiscovered and the little fluffy fellow is busy hoarding. Pure nerve food, of course! So make sure you don’t just leave crumbs in the packets this Christmas…

The extremely cuddly panel with two hamster motifs is perfect for sewing into a casual jumper, hoodie long sleeve with a motif on the front and back, or of course you can also use it to create two jumpers or similar. The perfectly matching combination fabric with abstract biscuit crumbs in bright red-brown leaves plenty of scope for your individual sewing and gift ideas.

After Wanja, we have another trendy fabric from the upholstery industry that will take your heart by storm. Parma decorative velvet has a fantastic velour look and feel, so cosy and soft! At the same time, the decorative fabric with the cool bubble pattern is totally robust and can withstand over 100,000 Martindale abrasion cycles! The trendy colour palette includes dark grey, dark blue, a great dark green and sage, seng yellow, mocha/blush, dusky pink and natural – wonderful for bags, cushions and so easy to combine with each other.

Stepper Matilda with plush reverse

The stylish quilted fabric with double stitching and wavy quilting looks so classy and high-quality! Aubergine, khaki, dark blue and black with a matching, cosy plush underside.

Depending on your mood, you can use the smooth side or the plush side facing outwards – reversible jackets or reversible pockets are also possible! Waistcoats, jackets and coats can be made in no time at all – all you need is a suitable pattern – the current trend is towards wider-cut styles. You don’t necessarily need to line Stepper Matilda. On the contrary, it just looks great when the soft plush peeks out inside and in the hood and is of course super cosy. Add the matching shoulder bag or bum bag and your favourite outfit for the coming months is ready!

French Terry Denim in denim look

French Terry Denim really lives up to its name – the non-roughened sweat has such a deceptively real denim look that you really have to look twice! Ideal for trendy, cosy denim-look sweatpants and shorts, but of course also for hoodies and sweat jackets – or should that be denim jackets? In any case, the French terry in a denim pattern is absolutely universal and appeals to both children and adults. Thanks to the modal content, Manila has a wonderfully soft drape, a wonderful feel and is very comfortable to wear. Can be used universally for jackets, hoodies, turtlenecks, blazers, dresses, jumpers and trousers – for young and old!

We have three beautiful designs for you – in slightly more muted colours and ideal for autumn and winter! The elegant ginkgo pattern with accents in gold and petrol shows the delicate outlines and lines of the ginkgo leaves. Here you can play wonderfully with colours and pick up on the petrol tone – of course black also goes wonderfully with it. The second design with the abstract flower heads is reminiscent of tulips and the cool puff pens with which you can spray such great patterns. Mint, gold and white really come into their own on the black background! The floral design with twigs, berries and lantern flowers inspires with its bright autumn colours on dark purple – you can pick up the autumnal colours so wonderfully with basics!

Ghost is ideal for candy bags that children can take from house to house or for small bags in which you can give away Halloween sweets or small gifts! Also ideal for Halloween decorations, costumes, clothing and more!
