On Wednesday, 23.8. at 7:00 p.m. CEST we will present our diverse show highlights at www.swafing.de/en/virtual/, on YouTube and on YouTube. You can still watch this presentation after the first broadcast. On Friday, 25.8. the Swafing in-house exhibition in Nordhorn and Lohne starts at 8:00 am. You will find the fair novelties in our headquarter in Bentheimer Str. 175-179 in Nordhorn! We offer most articles while stocks last. After the in-house exhibition on site – on 29.8. around 9:00 a.m. – you can also order the remaining in-house exhibition fabrics in the Swafing online store. Canvas Cherry Picking Bag – DIY Bag Panel by Cherry Picking

The „Cherry Picking Bag“ panel is a very special DIY panel! Anke from Cherry Picking has created four great bag designs for you for the in-house exhibition: Leo-Lovehands – the coffee or tea cup on the flower meadow, the tit girl with the heart lollies and the peace hands on the black checked background. You can sew two great bags from each panel with the matching lining fabric! A reversible bag is of course also possible. Everything is so lovingly designed and thought out!
Ideal for sewing beginners: the pattern is already printed on the fabric – just cut it out and start sewing! With the detailed tutorial, it’s child’s play to sew these great bags. The 100 cm high panels with the practical cutting line contain not only the bag fabric but also two inside pockets (one of which is for sunglasses), plus fun labels and embellishments as well as decorative ribbons that can be sewn onto the webbing of the bag handles. Of course, you can mix and match to your heart’s content, so that each bag is absolutely unique.
The size of the bag is simply ideal – even a file folder fits in the spacious shopper. Ideal for school / university / work, as a shoulder bag / shopping bag or for the next big fabric purchase! Alternatively, you could also sew cushions from the panel and use the remaining pieces of fabric from the bottom of the bag or the inside pockets for small bags or the bag straps to make lanyards – get creative!

There is a detailed tutorial for the Cherry Picking Bag panel so that everyone can sew these great bags easily! You can make two bags from one panel with matching lining fabric (for example, Rex faux leather or canvas) and some webbing! Everything fits together so well – it’s so much fun to discover all the lovely details. Ideal as a special gift, as a workshop theme, for live sewalongs or – combined with combination fabric, webbing and haberdashery as a practical sewing kit!

Did you know that dinosaurs and mammoths did not live at the same time? The dinosaurs had already died out millions of years ago when the mammoths – also a very long time ago – conquered the world. French Terry Glow by Lycklig Design

At night in the city, colourful illuminated advertisements glow and radiate a very special atmosphere that magically draws you in. Designer Berit Winter has captured the feeling of these lights of the night and so Glow features colourful NEON illuminated advertising on cosy French terry. Two panels and three all-over designs – so cool for women, men, kids and teens! For hoodies, dresses, trousers, jackets and much more.

In two versions, the luminous neon signs cast their rays onto the grey masonry. The panels are each approx. 75 cm high. The flamingo with the monster leaf looks elegant and tropical, while the alien with the UFO appears both mystical and cool.
To match, there are also fluorescent stripes in a neon tube look against the background of the grey wall – perfectly colour-coordinated with the two panels, but also very cool on their own! You can play with the stripes wonderfully and simply change direction! Doesn’t the dress look particularly chic with the partly diagonal stripes?

Street Life by Thorsten Berger
For the Swafing in-house exhibition there are two great French Terry collections by Thorsten Berger! The mini fabric series Street Life has the motto „Graffiti goes Fashion“. The trendy urban graffiti style is simply mega casual! With the new Berger panels and the matching all-over design, you will be the absolute king in your hood!
There are two panels with a panel height of approx. 85 cm, which are absolutely unisex and suitable for kids, teens and adults. The pigeon panel has two cool motifs on the grey wall background: whether as a mega motif of the cool graffiti pigeon in the side cut or as a classic panel motif with the comic-like Gossip Gang and the words „Talk Of The Town“ – these two motif variants on the panel will definitely bring a good mood into everyday life!

Bulldog „Buddy“ is definitely „King of the Road“ in the city. The motto here is: My Hood – My Rules! He knows exactly what’s going on in his hood and naturally has the whole street under control. A pithy four-legged dog, who, however, becomes a cuddly cat when he gets an extra bone and likes to be cuddled. On the panel with „Bulldog Buddy“, everything revolves around the cool graffiti motif with the bulldog Buddy. In the background, you will again find the vintage wall background, which here stretches across the entire width.
This panel is also great for sewing for big and small – very cool in a partner look too!

Viscose woven fabric Big white Roses
Beautiful, large flowers on a great viscose woven fabric in autumnal, muted shades – these are the Big white Roses by Christiane Zielinski! The designer has an abundance of different roses in her home garden and is always fascinated by their beguiling scent, the soft blossoms and the delicate shape of the flowers. So it was time to dedicate her own textile design to them. The design shows large, white, loosely painted stylised roses in watercolour style. Discreet and yet expressive due to the strong contours of the blossoms, the flower design in both colours – silver-grey and camel/ochre – unfolds a very special effect.
The beautiful, not too light viscose woven fabric is ideal for dresses, blouses, shawls, tops, skirts, trousers, jackets and more – so beautiful for young and old!

Our popular Double Slub quality with a beautiful design by Christiane Zielinski! Double Slub muslin is a double-layered muslin with a dreamy linen look. Tulips & Flowers shows a beautiful subtle floral pattern in harmonious natural tones on a natural white background. You can see various stylised flowers – tulips and other summer flowers inspired the designer to create this design. The flowers, originally hand-drawn in ink, come out so well on the double slub muslin with its great linen structure.
The fabric hardly shrinks and remains smooth even after washing and keeps its shape beautifully. Double slub muslin is somewhat heavier and more densely woven than conventional muslin and falls wonderfully softly. Tulips & Flowers is opaque – so despite the light colour it is not see-through – and therefore also ideal for skirts, dresses and trousers! Sorea is our beautiful double slub muslin – there are 10 new colours for the Open House. These include trend colours like grass green, royal blue and bright pink, and more muted shades for autumn and winter. The new colours are ochre, old rose, old lilac, bordeaux, sage, petrol and navy. The colours can be mixed well with each other, but they can also be combined wonderfully with printed double slub muslin or have a great effect on their own. For the Swafing in-house fair, there are beautiful new children’s designs on our two-layer digital print muslin Thea in addition to the new Double Slub muslin! This popular quality is wonderfully light, wonderfully comfortable to wear – a fantastic material! After washing, this fabric gets its typical crinkle look! Meanwhile an absolute year-round article, also in ready-to-wear!

Double Gauze is wonderful for children’s clothing: Shirts, dresses, harem trousers and of course blouses in all variations. Thea is also ideal for cute fashion for the very little ones – short baby trousers, dungarees, bodysuits or cute blouses or dresses. Of course also for the cuddly XXL shawls – super quick to sew and always there when it gets chilly or you need some shade! It can also be used as a light blanket.
We are happy about five new designs for autumn and winter – with the great children’s designs there is also something for boys and even for Halloween there is the right design: foxes and mushrooms in great autumnal colours, matching the autumnally coloured trees of the forest design, a cute Halloween fabric with ghosts, pumpkins, spider webs and little stars for a Halloween outfit or cool decoration. There is also the space design with astronaut cat and ufos, shooting stars and the moon as well as the dreamy clouds and hot air balloons!

The abstract floral design has inspired our sample seamstresses so much that we can show many models from it! Here you can see so well that this quality is suitable for very different models such as dresses, tops, blouses and blouse shirts and you can also work wonderfully fine with it. Even ribbons and fine details are easy to achieve! Black with dark green and apricot and black-ground with mustard-ochre tones.

A dream of a fabric! The popular flannel quality was so well received at the Cologne fair that we are offering new colours for the in-house fair! Maverick is wonderfully soft to the touch and has a fantastic wearing comfort. This quality is very lightly brushed and not too thick, which means that you can also work very finely with it – pockets, a fine collar, gathers or ruffle details work wonderfully.

We are happy about a beautiful new jersey quality! Modal jersey Dalia inspires with great colours and designs. Whether muted or intense – there is something for everyone here: Curved lines in turquoise-terracotta-beige, an abstract design in old rose-black-grey tones, the beautiful flower design on a black background and the abstract floral design that reminds us a bit of a trip to the art museum. Also an absolute highlight in the current leo trend: a beautiful leo design in black with bold colours. Orange, yellow, red, turquoise – here you can really combine to your heart’s content. Cotton jersey Aron
Cute nature motifs on jersey in the popular, heavier jersey quality with 90% cotton and 10% elastane are now available on Jersey Aron. There are two series: The first enchants with realistic watercolour drawings – there’s a lot to discover here! The natural white jerseys are available with a forest full of wild animals such as owls, foxes, bears, rabbits and hedgehogs, a design with deer and fawns with butterflies and the cute design with squirrels, mice and fawns.
Jersey Aron has a second new series of beautifully combinable jerseys with forest animals. On a natural white ground there are roebucks and fawns with fir trees, foxes in the meadow and hedgehogs surrounded by toadstools. The foxes and hedgehogs also come in a beautiful reddish sand / beige tone.
Very versatile: for long-sleeved shirts and hoodies, dresses, leggings, hats, loops, tops and much more! Cute for the little ones, but also so beautiful for big nature lovers!

Cotton Jersey Mini Winter – Made in Europe
Do you remember Mini Winter? The cotton jersey with 10% elastane was an absolute bestseller and we kept getting questions about a new edition. We are very happy to fulfil this wish with a great combination series in fantastic designs and colours!

The designs and colours are beautifully coordinated and can be combined very well. There are coloured deer and fir trees each on a natural white background and vice versa with a white design on a coloured background. In addition, there is a beautiful design with trees, houses and birds on an irregular, hatched background and the beautiful irregular dots, which can be combined very well, but are also beautiful on their own! The Mini Winter Jerseys are not only suitable for children – especially the polka dot design and the beautiful design with the deer we can imagine very well for ladies too.

For the colder days you can’t do without a cosy brushed sweat – for cosy hoodies and jackets, sweat dresses, jogging trousers and much more! We have great new children’s designs on Sweat Lina for you: The T-Rex with the bright outlines on a dark green-black background is perfect for all dino fans! Tractors, excavators and other construction vehicles can be seen on the grey-melted sweat. There is also a beautiful space design on dark blue and the funny penguins on sweat in light grey and emerald.

Tamme: Doubleface plush with fleece side!
Tamme is simply twice as good – the soft plush has a fleece side and therefore doesn’t need to be lined and cuts a great figure from both sides! Both sides are colour-coordinated so beautifully – tone-in-tone for great effects when the fleece jacket is opened or you roll up the sleeves of the trendy sherpa troyer. Knitwear Bono in trendy colours
We don’t need to introduce you to Bono – the much-loved Italian cotton knit with elastane has become an integral part of the Swafing standard range!
Bono inspires with its high cotton content of 70% and its dreamy, lightly brushed surface. Bono has the same composition and surface as Knit Bene, but is even cosier and fluffier brushed on the back and therefore a little warmer. Triangular shawls, tops, cardigans, loops, knitted dresses, skirts and more can be made from Bono in the beautiful standard colours.
Exclusively for the in-house exhibition in August, we have five current trend colours for you, which can be wonderfully combined with many of the current fashion fabrics!
A strong pink tone, violet, the trendy royal blue, our intense grass green and a beautiful water green – the new articles Ann, Sorea, Dalia, Katrin, the new Sorea colours and much more go with this! With a cosy Bono cardigan or jumper, the viscose woven fabric, the double slub muslin or the jersey thus becomes suitable for autumn and winter and really brings colour into the dark season!

Trendy Cotton knit
Like knitting yourself – only much faster! With the knitted fabrics made of pure cotton, even knitters can create beautiful knitted models – from cushions and dreamy blankets (ideal in combination with warming plush Gobi as a cosy back) to fashionable cardigans, jumpers and more! We have two new cotton knits for you!
Cotton knit Charlotte
We were immediately impressed by the knitted fabric Charlotte – the pure cotton knit has a beautiful honeycomb pattern and gorgeous colours! At approx. 500 g/m², this beautifully heavy cotton knit fabric has a great drape and a fantastically soft, beautiful quality. You have the choice between five beautiful colours: Old pink, taupe, natural white, emerald and denim blue.
Ideal for clothing for adults and children. Absolutely unisex – for him and her! For cardigans, knitted jumpers and cardigans, scarves, scarves and hats or also for children’s overalls – and so cute as a parent-child outfit for you and your „Mini Me“!

Everything can be combined in such a great way and is also suitable for the little ones: Our dear colleague sewed two great outfits for her child from it – including a reversible hat that matches both outfits! The melange basics, here in the colours 1010 and 1749, are also perfect.

Cotton knit Jennifer
Blankets, throws, cushions, cuddly blankets (great in combination with fleece or plush Gobi) – the heavy cotton knit Jennifer is ideal for living and decorative areas! We can also imagine decorative knitted cushions or even knitted pouf seat cushions made from this fabric.
The great chunky knit comes in five beautiful, intense colours – light pink, berry, trendy royal blue and grass green as well as black.

The knitted fabric with the heavy drape can also be used for garments such as jumpers or jackets, but is not necessarily suitable for knitting beginners. Here it is advisable to cut the knit carefully with a large seam allowance and to serge very well. Our sample seamstress naehfu serged each piece individually with the overlock and then sewed them together with the sewing machine using a 90 stretch needle. The shoulder and armholes were reinforced with seam tape. The edges were trimmed with a bias tape made of cuff fabric.

Decorator fabrics: Wanja, Canvas & Cork
Favourite fabric in new colours: Wanja corduroy velvet
Wanja was the absolute hit at the last Cologne fair and is incredibly popular with the entire sewing world! We will be happy to fulfil your wish for new colours!
Coarsely ribbed corduroy velvet – ideal for home decoration and furniture upholstery, but also for trendy bags and fashionable clothing. The beautifully iridescent and velvety-soft wide corduroy impresses with its structure, great look, insensitivity and durability. The dreamy, velvety material is ideal for cool cushions, expressive backpacks and shoppers or handbags. You can also play wonderfully with the direction and let the ribs run diagonally – for expressive unique pieces.
The coarse rib also makes it an absolute eye-catcher in the clothing sector, because BREITcord is almost an understatement: Wanja comes with a fluffy rib with a whopping width of 1 cm. For absolute statement pieces! Trendy corduroy jackets, trousers and skirts – The grippy corduroy has a nice stand and wears very comfortably. The iridescent velour fabric is also wonderful to work with. Also suitable as lining!
Corduroy velvet Wanja comes to the in-house exhibition in six new, intense colours: Beige, golden yellow, terracotta, dark green, dark blue and classic black!
Wanja has an excellent abrasion resistance with a Martindale value of > 90,000 cycles (for classification: for very heavy use in public environments, Martindale values of at least 40,000 abrasion cycles are recommended) – this makes the corduroy velvet even suitable as an upholstery fabric for sofas, armchairs, chairs and stools! We had two armchairs upholstered with it and received the best feedback from our upholsterer. Wanja is wonderful to work with and the fine diamond stitching on the armchair turned out perfectly.
So beautiful also in combination with Canvas Ilana!

Canvas Ilana – Made in Europe!
Our canvas in the well-known Ilana quality inspires with harmonious colours and motifs that are very well suited for bags, cushions, tablecloths, utensil boxes and more. Even though canvas is mainly used for decoration and accessories, we can also imagine jackets or other clothing made of it!
We have such beautiful new designs – including lots of lovely leaves and branches on light and dark backgrounds, abstract designs, wave designs, graphic geometric patterns, a Japanese inspired flower design, watercolour style ginkgo leaves, dreamy intense colours that run into each other, graphic line patterns in light and dark colours! There really is something for every style!

Christmas always comes so suddenly and the preparations for the Christmas markets will soon be in full swing – now is soon the right time to offer the right decorative fabrics for the cold season.
We have beautiful winter and Christmas designs on cotton canvas Joyful Christmas. The use is not limited to Advent and Christmas, but some of the designs can accompany us through the whole cold season! Ideal for cushions, decorations, table linen and tablecloths, utensils, bags, presents and much more.

New quality: Cork fabric Corcoon
We have a beautiful new quality for sewing, crafting, wallpapering and more! Corcoon is a 0.4 mm thick cork fabric with a cotton fabric backing and comes on practical 10m rolls with a band. The natural material impresses with its beautiful look and velvety feel. Corcoon is very robust and strong and is very easy to work with. Easy to cut without fraying – simply use scissors or a carpet knife! Washable.
Our new cork fabric Corcoon is super versatile – for sewing, wallpapering, lampshades, upcycling furniture and much more!
Corcoon is excellent for sewing – it can be used to make bags, pouches, utensils, covers, accessories, cushions and much more! Trendy cork patches for labels can also be made from cork fabric. These give sewn unique pieces that certain something. Cork fabric can easily be sewn with a sewing machine. We recommend an 80 or 90 gauge universal sewing needle. As with imitation leather, it’s better to work with staples instead of pins! Turning is also easy: you can turn/roll the cork fabric beautifully and then smooth it out again!
But that is not all:
- As a flexible and robust cover fabric, Corcoon is ideal for upholstered furniture and for seat cushions.
- Wallpapering: Perfect for walls, simply wallpaper with normal wallpaper paste!
- Also ideal for covering lampshades – cork fabrics conjure up a wonderfully cosy light for your home!
- Upcycling: Cork fabric can also be used as a decorative covering for furniture – simply glue it! Very decorative and easy to clean (washable)
New at Swafing are three articles: the classic cork variant is simply called Corcoon. The noble Corcoon Gold and Silver variant with small gold or silver details shimmers so beautifully!
Corcoon is also available in six patterned designs as „Corcoon gemustert“. Included are many beautiful designs such as stripes, small squares, the expressive mandala design in petrol green, elegant ornaments in red and blue, a parquet pattern and a playful design with owls, sheep, birds, butterflies, rabbits, bees, beetles and flowers.

Halloween fabrics
Halloween fabrics have also become an important topic in the fabric trade and are becoming more and more present. (Not only) children enjoy being spooky and dressing up, decorating with jack-o‘-lanterns or turnip ghosts. „Trick or treat“: When the cute little ghosts ring the bell, you’re happy to give them a little candy!
At the Swafing in-house show there are many great items for Halloween that are also suitable for carnival: some colours of woven fabric Henry and muslin Thea as well as the items Booo!, Halloween, Spider Web and Elsa!
For Halloween we have such cool designs for you! Because we like them so much and they are suitable for young and old, we have printed them on cotton woven Booo! and a bit bigger on French Terry Halloween!
French Terry Halloween
The cool Halloween designs are also available on French Terry – just like with woven Boo, but as somewhat larger designs! With the ghosts and pumpkins, for example, there are also designs that are not too scary for little ones.
This creepy girl comes from a very special monster family. The trendy design with the girl with the black pigtails on natural white French terry has us particularly excited. Caution: You’re not actually allowed to laugh in this outfit – can you stay just as serious?

Booo! Did you get a fright?
„Trick or treat!“ Booo is ideal for the candy bags that children can go from house to house with or for little bags in which you can give away Halloween candy or small gifts! Of course also ideal for Halloween decorations, clothing and more!

On woven fabric Booo! there are the red handprints on a black and white background as well as red spiders on black and black spiders on white. These combine so well with each other – for cool reversible bags, cushions and more!

Cotton woven Henry with Halloween and children’s designs
Cotton woven fabric is indispensable in any assortment – besides clothing, cotton prints are ideal for bags, accessories, decorations, school bags, cushions and much more. In autumn, Halloween has also gained in importance, which is why we also offer cotton woven goods with Halloween designs. For candy bags, gifts, clothing, for decoration, as nursery decor and much more!
Halloween is coming and we have the right fabrics! The cute designs on woven fabric Henry are suitable for children and not too scary! We have a ghost castle and lovely ghosts on a purple background, a white fabric with ghosts, the little witch, the mummy, a creepy girl, the cat, the raven and a Halloween pumpkin. There is also a cool design with Halloween gnomes and pumpkins on a purple background – so funny the gnomes‘ caps patterned with pumpkins and bats!

Tulle
New on the Swafing tulle shelf are three beautiful fine tulle items for Halloween, carnival, school cones and more! By popular demand, we have a reunion with Elsa fine tulle.
Back again: Tulle Elsa!
Our star on the tulle shelf! Tulle Elsa is an absolute dream Halloween or carnival. Witches, fairies, wizards, … what must absolutely be in your dressing up box? It can be used to create cool effects on bags or clothing, for example by appliquéing the tulle or adding a decorative top layer to dresses or capes! Elsa is of course also perfect for tulle skirts and as the icing on a school cone!
The black fine tulle is decorated with silver-coloured, iridescent stars made of hologram foil. Very well combinable with cotton woven Henry and Booo!

Fine Tulle Spider Web
It’s getting spooky – ideal for Halloween or carnival! A silver spider’s web stretches across the black fine tulle. The silver foil print creates a particularly classy, cool effect.
Ideal for Halloween party decorations, as a decorative top layer on skirts, costumes and capes or for spooky-cool school cones. You can also create cool effects with appliqués on bags or clothing using the tulle with silver spider webs – how about an appliqué made from it?

Fine Tulle Ombre
Ombre is a new fine tulle with colour gradient in three beautiful colourways!
The fine tulle falls beautifully soft and is ideal for school cones, costumes, carnival, for princess or fairy dresses, but also wonderful for decorating!
The great ombre effect runs in repeating stripes and makes a great look even draped. We have three colourways: Fuchsia-pink-pink, turquoise-blue-green and a blue-red-yellow variant.
