Linen-cotton blend fabric Paul

Spring is coming and with linen-cotton blend Paul we can’t wait to start sewing for the warmer days! The great new quality with 55% linen and 45% cotton is ideal for the warm season, but is also impressive all year round.

The woven fabric is so comfortable to wear and simply looks great. For blouses, men’s shirts, dresses, skirts, breezy summer trousers, shorts and much more, and of course also wonderfully suitable for children’s dresses, summer trousers or shirts. You can work wonderfully delicate details such as collars, belt loops or ruffles very easily.

But that’s not all – this super versatile material is also suitable for tea towels, pot holders, table runners and decorations. No wonder our sample sewing team is totally enthusiastic about the new quality!

All patterns for the in-house exhibition models are linked in the image database!

Paul is available in two versions: As a mottled woven fabric with a beautiful chambray look and mottled with white stripes, each in the six beautiful colours red, sage, blue, denim blue, grey and black. The mottled fabrics and the fine stripes complement each other wonderfully, so that the two can also be combined very well!

Thanks to our test sewists: Glüxkeks, AnjasNähstüberl, naehfu, Frauenbaumarkt by AnDo and Katjuschka

Cotton-linen blend made from 55% linen, 45% cotton, approx. 155 g/m², 137 cm. Available at the virtual Swafing fair from 16 February while stocks last.

Viscose Linen Ronda

Summer can come with these gorgeous batik fabrics in six trendy colours! The batik blended fabric made from 70% viscose and 30% linen is an absolute summer dream – bright colours, a beautiful batik pattern and a gorgeous drape – ideal for summer dresses, blouses, tops and more! Ronda is so wonderfully light and airy, but is opaque and you can’t see through it, which also makes the material suitable for trendy batik trousers. As Ronda also looks great on the reverse side, the material can also be used for shawls or wrap skirts. As you can see from the model made from Ronda in bright pink, you can play with the batik pattern and create an interesting look with the arrangement of the pattern pieces!
Ronda is available in pink, purple, royal blue, bright green, beige and black – there really is something for everyone! Ronda can be combined very well with white basic pieces – or with knitwear Bene in the latest fashion colours.

Thank you, Glüxkeks! All patterns for the in-house exhibition models are linked in the image database!

Boho lace: trendy lace in a boho look!

The boho look remains a very important topic in fashion! Boho dresses, cute lace tops and airy cardigans can be sewn wonderfully from our new boho lace. The beautiful lace gives a little, but has a nice stand. Ideal for clothing, whether as the main fabric or as a border or insert. Whether black or in a classic natural colour – boho lace is very versatile!

All patterns for the in-house exhibition models are linked in the image database!

Our new boho lace is ideal for trendy boho-style school cones: the lace is used as a highlight in place of the tulle, for example. Combined with cotton woven fabric in more muted colours, you can create very special school cones with matching outfits such as a jacket or a dress with boho lace for the big day! We recommend linen-cotton mix Paul or cotton woven fabric Tumba. The boho trend is also unbroken in the home decoration sector.

Thanks to the sample sewing team: AnjasNähstüberl, naehfu and Katjuschka!

The lightly brushed knit comes to the virtual Swafing trade fair in bright heather, bright red, trendy lilac, royal blue, bright turquoise/petrol and beautiful beige. These colours can be wonderfully combined with other trend fabrics such as Ronda, Namibia or In the Jungle – tone on tone or in a bright mix of colours! The new Bene colours are only planned for the virtual trade fair!

Viscose woven

Viscose woven Namibia

Animal prints have gone from being a trend pattern to an absolute perennial favourite and nothing in current fashion is possible without leo, zebra and the like! We are delighted to be able to present a wonderful new viscose quality: Beautifully soft, wonderful drape, hardly creases, very comfortable to wear and not see-through! Ideal for blouses, tops and dresses. We are completely in love with the first designs on this quality: tropical leaves in vibrant shades of green, a harmonious leopard design and the zebra pattern. Three beautiful, lively patterns for your favourite viscose sewing ideas!

In the Jungle by bienvenido colorido

Off to the jungle with Nelli Simböck! „In the Jungle“ is the name of the latest viscose woven fabric from the Spain-based designer. The design is something very special! The large-format pattern consists of the leaves of a wide variety of jungle plants, which really shine against the dark background in intense, trendy colours – bright green, red and purple tones! The tropical flowers and leaves are colourful, but not too colourful and have a great, three-dimensional effect.

The beautiful, opaque viscose woven fabric is airy and has a great drape – ideal for airy summer dresses, blouses and tops, jumpsuits or summer trousers! When it gets cooler in the evening, „In the Jungle“ can be wonderfully combined with a jumper or jacket made of knitted Bene in the latest trend colours.

French Terry & Modal-French Terry

Aurora by kaeselotti

Aurora is the goddess of dawn and announces the dawn of a new day every morning! When morning comes, the animals also wake up from their sleep and you can hear them buzzing everywhere – the hummingbirds, butterflies, dragonflies and little bees pay a visit to the dreamlike flowers! The dreamlike, large-format repeat shows hummingbirds and ornamentally arranged, exotic flowers in two beautiful colour schemes. Both the more muted version in purple/lilac/reed green and the colourful version with petrol, red, yellow and purple tones stand out wonderfully on the black background.

The imaginative design is arranged symmetrically and creates a wonderful effect. You can play with it wonderfully and either cut it absolutely symmetrically, as with the college jacket, or create interesting effects with an offset arrangement, as with the top of the dress!

The modal French terry impresses with its gorgeous design and wonderful drape – so beautiful for dresses, skirts and jumpers, but also for trendy cropped tops in a layered look or statement college jackets! You can pick up the colours wonderfully and combine the patterned fabric with Swafing plain fabrics such as Vanessa or Maike.

All patterns for the in-house exhibition models are linked in the image database!

Thanks to the sample sewing team: Atelier Nove, Kayjaysews, Sie näht and käselotti.

Modal French terry made of 60 % cotton, 35 % modal and 5 % elastane, approx. 265 g/m², 160 cm. Certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available at the virtual Swafing trade fair from 16 February while stocks last.

French Terry Volzel

A fabric like a painting – we can’t get enough of our new French terry! Volzel inspires with beautiful designs and rich colours. The gorgeous flowers are available in blue-petrol tones and slightly more muted purple-mustard-brown tones – both look so good on the dark background.

There is also an expressive watercolour design in a marbled watercolour look in three colour combinations: Bright blue-turquoise, in intense red tones with yellow/gold accents or in trendy pink with gold accents. The great quality is equally suitable for women and men, and we can imagine the blue version in particular being a great choice for stylish hoodies for boys and men!

Jerseys for young and old!

Breeze by Thorsten Berger Illustration

Is summer coming soon? The small Thorsten Berger jersey collection for the virtual Swafing trade fair really whets the appetite for the first warmer days! A delicately scratched pattern in royal blue or lilac blows over the white jersey like a fresh spring breeze and lures the blue-footed booby – or is it just a normal seagull – out into the open! The clumsy bird throws itself into its swimming trunks at the first rays of sunshine and after a little „sun dance“, it’s off into the water!

Design examples: Visualisation

The fun panel in two colourways brings a bit of a holiday feeling! The Sun Dance motif is on one side of the fabric, while the stylish background pattern extends across the entire width. Of course, there is also a matching all-over with the fresh pattern in royal blue or purple – to combine (for sleeves, backs, hoods and more) or super cool on its own! The panel is approx. 90 cm high.

For shirts, tops, dresses, leggings and much more – for him and her, for young and old.

Jersey made of 95% cotton and 5% elastane, approx. 200 g/m², 160 cm. Panels approx. 90 cm high. Certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available at the virtual Swafing trade fair from 16 February while stocks last.

Wild Animals by Christiane Zielinski

Go on a fabric safari with us! Christiane Zielinski is bringing a wonderful jersey collection with the animals of the savannah to the virtual trade fair. The beautiful, detailed watercolours are painted by hand and then arranged into fabric designs. There is so much to discover here: mother elephant and baby elephant running to the nearest watering hole! The giraffe and her child are also at home in the African steppe. Here and there you can see a colourful gecko scurrying across the ground and in the air you can spot colourful parrots and butterflies shimmering in beautiful colours!

All patterns for the in-house exhibition models are linked in the image database!

The collection is kept in harmonious, earthy colours. Everything fits together perfectly – you can mix and match to your heart’s content! In addition to the animal designs, the jersey collection also includes a speckle design in natural white, reed green and dark grey, which can be sewn with all the other „Wild Animals“ jerseys, but is also beautiful on its own.

We are delighted to welcome two new designers who will be presenting fabrics at Swafing for the first time at the virtual trade fair!

New at Swafing: Sabine Marschall

Sabine Marschall lives in Upper Austria with her husband and daughter. Sabine has been very creative since she was a child and loved to paint. After the birth of her daughter, she started sewing. She has now combined these two passions and designs beautiful children’s fabrics for herself and for you!

„I just love it when I see my patterns on the finished product! My mission is to bring joy and a smile to people’s faces with my designs!“

At the Swafing trade fair there are two great jersey collections for boys and girls: „Achtung Baustelle“ and „I love Ponys“.

Jersey Achtung Baustelle
(Attention construction site)

Watch out, building site! Many children are fascinated by the impressive construction site vehicles and could spend hours watching wheel loaders, excavators and tippers at work. Sabine Marschall has drawn the construction site designs in a wonderful watercolour look. There is the design with the yellow construction vehicles on a white and dark blue background and the matching, irregular stripes in ochre and dark grey on white and dark blue. The block stripes can be combined very well with the construction site design, but are also great on their own! For all boys and girls who love building sites – a wonderful children’s design that stimulates the imagination.

The comfortable jersey is versatile and ideal for shirts, leggings, shirts, hats and pyjamas, but is also wonderful as a lining for full-length jackets or overalls.

Jersey I love Ponys

What child hasn’t dreamed of having their own pony! Sabine Marschall is making this dream come true with „I love Ponies“, a wonderful jersey collection for the virtual Swafing trade fair! For horse girls and pony fans, the gorgeous cotton jerseys are available in natural white and a great sage/lime green. The main motif shows ponies and children, but there are also the beautiful horseshoes with flowers and hearts, the rainbows and hearts on a speckled background and the speckled fabric with the little hearts. Here you can mix and match to your heart’s content – tone on tone with the different designs, but also combine the two colours!

So versatile: sew shirts, dresses, leggings, tops, hats, accessories and much more from the pony fabrics! Also ideal as an inner lining for coats or walkoveralls!

New at Swafing: Anette Kithier

Anette is a surface designer from Düsseldorf. A trained restorer and industrial designer, she has lived in Munich, Italy, Vienna and Amsterdam and loves to play the cello in her spare time. She enjoys sewing clothes with her own designs and growing her own vegetables – if she can find time for it alongside her work and her three children. It is with great pleasure that Anette presents her first Swafing jersey collection „Joy“!

Joy cotton jersey

Colourful floral designs that radiate joy – that’s Joy cotton jersey! The cheerful floral patterns were drawn by hand using watercolours. Anette gave free rein to her imagination – she wanted it to be colourful, playful and cheerful! Mission accomplished! The colourful designs – large, irregular polka dots, stripes in bright colours that merge into each other and create a totally exciting pattern and the cheerful flowers are so versatile for young and old and simply put everyone in a good mood! With a little courage to use colour and a lot of fun, you can create summer dresses, shirts, leggings, pyjamas, accessories and much more.

Our tip: You can pick up on the colours wonderfully and add great colour accents with matching cuffs or plain jerseys.

In addition to the colourful designs, there is also a beautiful floral design with flowers and dragonflies in a very light grey and a great petrol, also in watercolour style. The abstract bluebells blossom in the spring meadow – you can almost smell their delicate fragrance. Beautiful for women and children!

Mrs Mint Design aka Anita Eberhart is the winner of the kreativselbst Design Challenge! After her successful debut with „A very long time ago“, we are delighted to present new fabrics from the Swiss designer! In addition to her fabric shop, Anita started creating her own fabric designs a few years ago and has constantly expanded her skills. With great attention to detail, she designs cheerful, colourful fabrics with sweet motifs.

„I love bringing my characters to life and giving them their own personality. I want to make the world a bit more colourful with my creative work!“

Jersey Fantastische Zauberwelten by Mrs. Mint design
(Fantastic Magic Worlds)

Immerse yourself in the fantastic world of magic, where dragons glide through the air and unicorns dance. A fairy tale full of fantasy that will make every child’s heart beat faster. Did you know that dragons are a symbol of power and wisdom in many cultures? They bring a touch of adventure to every child’s room. Unicorns are not just magical creatures either: as ambassadors of creativity, they encourage little dreamers to think big. So let yourself be enchanted and create your own magical world with our „fantastic magical creatures“.

Mrs Mint Design presents the Fantastic Magic Worlds, beautiful jerseys that you don’t see on every corner. A completely new interpretation of dragons for girls and boys! The cheeky dragons are available in shades of turquoise and green on rich petrol and in shades of pink and mint on dark purple. The fabrics with stars on petrol and rainbows on purple match. The designs, which are perfectly coordinated with the dragons, can of course also be sewn wonderfully on their own – much more than just a combination fabric!

The cute unicorns and rainbows come in a wonderfully fresh and delicate mint colour. The combination fabric with the rainbows, which is also beautiful on its own as our models show, is a perfect match. Also suitable for the little ones!

Cotton jersey Samern

Fire brigade and police motifs are very popular motifs in the children’s sector and we are delighted to be able to offer particularly beautiful police and fire brigade designs on knit jersey Samern and woven cotton Tinholt.

Police car and helicopter, fire engine, fire extinguisher and all kinds of fire brigade motifs come in a beautiful watercolour look on cotton jersey in denim blue and white. The narrow, irregular horizontal stripes and wide vertical stripes are a wonderful match! The stripes are of course also very pretty on their own and are also suitable for adults.

Absolute favourite fabrics for shirts, pyjamas, leggings, hats, baby sets and much more!

Knit jersey Samern also features beautiful, expressive floral designs! Large flowers in vibrant shades of pink, a harmonious combination of dark berry and delicate apricot, cornflowers with red accents or delicate shades of purple – all Samern floral designs look wonderful on the white jersey. The flowers are drawn in the trendy watercolour look and arranged in harmonious designs.

We love the floral jerseys and have sewn them in colour blocking or rather „pattern blocking“ style and combined them with Clarissa waffle jersey. But we can also imagine making shirts and dresses with all-over flowers from it. Velour is also wonderful as an inner lining for a full-length jacket or as a floral accent in a hood or jacket pocket.

Back again: fine tulle Elsa

We have already had Elsa fine tulle in our programme several times – the beautiful fine tulle is always so well received that we are happy to fulfil your wish for a new edition! The wonderfully soft tulle in white, soft pink and a beautiful, light turquoise is decorated with silver-coloured, shimmering stars made of hologram foil. Whether for tulle skirts, as the crowning glory of a school cone or as decoration on a four-poster bed – the stars sparkle beautifully and make Elsa tulle something very special!

The fine tulle with the great drape is so beautiful for dresses or skirts – we have combined it here with jersey Vanessa, among others, an absolute girl’s dream! Of course, the star tulle is also very suitable for costumes – whether for princess dresses, fairies or the ice queen – what should definitely be in your dressing-up box?
