Woven cotton & canvas

Woven Cotton Calais by Claire´s Creative Forest
Floral cotton woven fabric in beautiful colour schemes
Calais features a wide variety of floral designs on a beautiful, fine cotton woven fabric. Large and small flowers, delicate blossoms, leaves, twigs and dainty scattered blooms provide plenty of variety. This time, the colours are slightly more muted and are perfect for the coming season, though they are just as suitable for sewing projects all year round.
Against a very dark petrol blue background, there are floral designs in dusky pink, apricot, blue, green and natural tones. Some of the flowers are larger, whilst others are significantly smaller and more delicate. Particularly lovely is a version featuring a soft rainbow gradient in the blossoms and leaves. There is also a denim-blue fabric with apricot and natural-coloured flowers. Other designs, with their delicate blossoms and inflorescences, are reminiscent of dried flowers and wildflowers. Very small scattered blooms appear on dark blue and a very dark brown-khaki. The coordinated colour schemes tie the different designs together and make them easy to mix and match.
Calais is a fine woven fabric made from 100% cotton. This fabric is ideal for blouses, dresses, skirts and light shirts, as well as for children’s clothing. It’s also ideal for bags, scarves, hair bands, school bags, bows and other small accessories. Depending on which of the many floral designs you choose, Calais can take on a variety of looks, ranging from colourful and playful to calm and understated.
Calais by Claire’s Creative Forest *083030* 100% cotton woven fabric, 150 cm, approx. 130 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Jülich cotton woven fabric
Checked cotton woven fabric with gold metallic threads
Back by popular demand! We’ve been delighted to re-release this popular cotton woven fabric. The classic chequered pattern in red and green is given a special touch by the woven-in gold metallic threads. Depending on the light, the fine gold stripes shimmer, making Jülich a beautiful fabric not just for the festive season.
The checked pattern is available in two different sizes. Both versions are colour-coordinated and can therefore be beautifully combined with one another. Red, green and gold also go wonderfully with plain fabrics in classic Christmas colours.

Design examples: Swafing. All pattern information for the in-house exhibition designs is linked in the image database!
Jülich is ideal for festive clothing for both children and adults. Our designs show just how different the two check sizes can look: as a cute pleated skirt for children or as a Christmas dress for adults. However, this soft woven cotton fabric can also be used for blouses, shirts, skirts or other festive garments.
There are also plenty of possibilities for Jülich beyond clothing. Especially at Christmas, the checked pattern looks lovely on tablecloths, table runners, cloth napkins and other Christmas decorations, as well as for creative craft projects.
Jülich *083045* Woven cotton fabric with gold metallic threads, 90% cotton, 10% polyester, 148 cm, approx. 115 g/m². Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Canvas Bloom & Berry by Lausemia Design
Graphic designs on canvas
Bloom & Berry by Lausemia features six coordinated designs on canvas. The colour palette of natural tones, taupe, blue and ochre-mustard combines beautifully and complements a wide range of interior design and accessory ideas.
Two of the designs feature floral motifs with curving leaves and blossoms on a light natural background, one in a subtle taupe shade and the other in blue. These are complemented by irregular, short strokes arranged in delicate rows, which are also available in two colourways. There are two further graphic designs in ochre-mustard. Particularly beautiful is the arched pattern, reminiscent of overlapping scales, available in one version with a light background and another with ochre-mustard as the base colour. Fine lines within the arches lend the pattern additional texture.
The inspiration behind the designs ranges from nature to the Baroque era. Intricate ornaments reflect the combination of lightness and opulence typical of that period and are given a modern interpretation through their arrangement in wide stripes. Other designs are deliberately more understated and timeless, drawing inspiration from plants and small moments in nature. Floral elements symbolise permanence, whilst small dots and delicate, loosely scattered lines are reminiscent of gentle raindrops and capture the lightness of a summer drizzle. The result is a coordinated collection of home textiles that combines classic and natural influences with a modern design.

Weighing approx. 230 g/m², Bloom & Berry has a lovely canvas-like quality that is particularly well suited to bags, shopping bags, rucksacks, storage pouches, cushion covers and other home accessories. Placemats, table runners, baskets and many other decorative projects – or even clothing – are also well suited to this fabric.
It pairs beautifully with Plön plush wide corduroy and Wanja corduroy velvet. The colours combine beautifully with the Bloom & Berry designs and offer plenty of opportunities to bring together different textures and patterns in a single project.
Bloom & Berry by Lausemia *083029* 100% cotton canvas, 150 cm, approx. 230 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Doha canvas: Wild & colourful!
Animal prints take centre stage in the Doha range: a graphic zebra pattern in warm brown and terracotta tones is paired with various interpretations of the leopard print. One design features the classic leopard look in beige, brown and black, whilst another plays with larger, irregular spots on a light background. There’s also an abstract design with small, hand-painted-style brushstrokes on a rich brown background. The warm shades blend seamlessly with one another, meaning the different designs can be combined beautifully.

The large-format mandala design is a particularly striking and colourful eye-catcher. Vibrant mandalas in yellow and orange stand out against a multi-layered background of finely drawn, overlapping ornaments. Bold pinks, purples and blues contrast with warm reds and oranges, creating an intense, expressive colour effect.
This pure cotton canvas is ideal for a wide range of creative projects, such as bags, shopping bags, rucksacks and accessories, as well as cushions, storage pouches and other home décor ideas.
Doha *083056* 100% cotton canvas, 150 cm, approx. 230 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Decorative fabric/ Canvas Lodi
Winter and Christmas designs on decorative fabric
Lodi brings a touch of winter and Christmas cheer. The various designs are printed on a natural-coloured, linen-effect background and range from classic Christmas decorations to motifs that look lovely all winter long.
The winter designs include stylised fir trees in natural shades of beige, grey and rust, as well as a graphic pattern featuring small fir trees and snowflakes. The delicate woodland motif, featuring does and stags, snow-covered fir trees, twigs and small birds, is also particularly lovely.

The festive spirit is heightened by lovingly decorated fir trees with bows and snowflakes, whimsical gingerbread houses and a classic red design featuring fir trees, stars, snowflakes, ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Ho Ho Ho’. The ‘Cosy’ design, featuring fir branches, pine cones, biscuits and mugs of winter hot drinks, creates a cosy Christmas atmosphere.

Lodi is perfect for winter and Christmas decorations, such as cushions, curtains, tablecloths and table runners, small pouches, storage bags and many other home décor ideas. The less Christmassy motifs featuring fir trees or forest animals, in particular, can be used for decoration throughout the winter.
Lodi *083028* decorative fabric / canvas: 90% cotton, 10% polyester, 140 cm, approx. 200 g/m². Made in Europe. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.
Trend: Oxford fabric
We first introduced our Oxford fabric at the start of the year, and it went down really well with you all. Sales have also been very strong in specialist shops. That’s why we’re delighted to now be able to present further designs in this fabric.
The Oxford fabric is water-repellent and, with a Martindale rating of over 60,000, exceptionally hard-wearing. What you might not expect from such a robust fabric is that it is surprisingly soft and by no means stiff. It can even be used to sew larger projects without the fabric naturally becoming too stiff.
You can easily influence just how sturdy the finished project will be during the sewing process. If you want a bag to have a softer drape, the Oxford fabric can be used without any additional reinforcement. If more structure is required, this fabric combines superbly with our Rom decorative fabric. Rom naturally offers a certain firmness and provides bags and other projects with extra stability. Thanks to the wide range of colours available, Rom can also be combined in many different ways with our Oxford fabrics.
The range of possible uses is correspondingly wide. Naturally, this fabric is particularly well-suited to bags, shopping bags, weekenders, rucksacks, cycle bags, make-up bags and other accessories. However, thanks to its water-repellent, hard-wearing surface, it is also ideal for many projects relating to the garden, leisure and travel, such as outdoor cushions and covers, bunting, dog bags or dog baskets. Rain jackets and other functional clothing can also be made from this pleasantly soft Oxford fabric.
Depending on the project, the fabric can be worked in very different ways: soft and flexible, or combined with a sturdier fabric for significantly more structure.
For our in-house exhibition in August 2026, we have two beautiful designer ranges for you made from this popular fabric: Savona by Sarah Mariam und Colourful Collection by Cherry Picking!

Oxford fabric Savona by Sarah Mariam
New designs on our popular Oxford fabric
Following the huge success of Sarah Mariam’s first designs on our Oxford fabric, we now have a new range: Savona by Sarah Mariam brings you four brand-new designs on this tried-and-tested, water-repellent and exceptionally hard-wearing fabric.
The four patterns showcase very different facets of Sarah Mariam’s style. One striking design combines pink, coral, turquoise, mint and dark accents to create a modern blend of floral and almost animal-inspired shapes. Alongside this, a lush floral design in muted shades of green, cream, rosé and berry tones offers a much calmer and more elegant look.

Of course, the flowing, abstract colour palettes are once again a particularly distinctive feature: one design plays with petrol blue, turquoise, blue, violet, rosé and warm golden accents, evoking images of intermingling inks, layers of rock or shimmering minerals. The fourth design, by contrast, features an exciting contrast of deep blue, turquoise, creamy white and bright orange. Round, flowing shapes and delicate gold-coloured details also lend plenty of depth and movement here. Each design stands entirely on its own, yet together they form a very harmonious and versatile collection.
And Savona not only looks beautiful, but also offers precisely the qualities one would want in a bag fabric. The Oxford fabric is water-repellent and, with a Martindale abrasion resistance of over 60,000 cycles, is particularly hard-wearing. At the same time, the fabric is pleasantly soft and significantly less stiff than one might expect from a robust bag fabric. This makes it very easy to work with and also suitable for larger projects that shouldn’t become unnecessarily heavy or rigid.

The wide range of design examples demonstrates just how versatile Savona is: from rucksacks and weekend bags to handbags, shopping bags and shoulder bags, right through to make-up bags and small pouches. The designs look particularly attractive when combined with plain-coloured fabrics, faux leather or bold straps – as seen in the colourful rucksack with pink details or the bags with brown and blue accents.

If you want to give your project a bit more structure, Savona also combines wonderfully with sturdier fabrics. In our showcase, for example, we present ‘Rom’ as a suitable complementary fabric. ‘Rex’, ‘Calvin’ and ‘Mesh’ (as seen on the back panel of the rucksack pictured above) can also be used to great effect, depending on the project. This creates a wide variety of looks: from sporty and modern to elegant and high-quality.
And why limit yourself to bags? Thanks to its water-repellent and hard-wearing properties, Savona is also ideal for outdoor accessories. A bunting garland for your balcony, terrace or garden is a lovely example! Other possibilities include storage units, seating and storage solutions, or other projects that need to be a bit more durable.

Do you love Sarah Mariam’s flowing designs for clothing too? Some of your favourite Flowing Bloom designs will be available on French terry for the first time at the fair. This means you can now use Sarah Mariam’s unique colour palettes to make hoodies, jumpers, dresses and many other garments. → To Flowing Bloom French Terry

Oxford fabric Colourful Collection by Cherry Picking
The Colourful Collection by Cherry Picking brings popular and new designs by Anke to our water-repellent Oxford fabric. The range includes the well-known ‘Bullshit Remover’, a leopard-print design (introduced by popular demand) and large, irregular dots.

The large, irregular dots have a relaxed, hand-drawn look. The design is available in lime with pink, pink with royal blue and lilac with lime. The natural with black version has a slightly more classic feel. We can particularly well imagine this version being used for modern cycle bags and shopping bags. The large bag in the polka-dot design is lined with our Wanja corduroy, whose wide range of colours allows for many beautiful combinations. Whether as a dog carrier for little Timmy or as a stylish shopping bag – so cool!

Design examples: Bag Buckolino, mobile phone pouch Ring-Ring and dog carrier without a pattern by Cherry Picking.
Many people who know Anke and Cherry Picking are also familiar with the ‘Bullshit Remover’. Now this tongue-in-cheek design is also available on Oxford fabric. The little spray bottles are arranged in neat rows against a striped background and come in two colourways: mint with lilac and ochre with lilac. If only you could just pull the Bullshit Remover out of your bag and use it every now and then!

We’re already familiar with the Oxford quality from the Happy Collection by Cherry Picking. It’s water-repellent and, with a Martindale rating of over 60,000, extremely hard-wearing, yet pleasantly soft and by no means stiff. This makes it particularly versatile. Naturally, it’s ideal for all kinds of bags, such as shopping bags, weekend bags, rucksacks, hiking rucksacks, cycle bags, make-up bags and small pouches.
The robust surface is also practical for dog beds and dog carrier bags, beanbags, outdoor cushions and garden furniture covers. The fabric is hard-wearing and easy to wipe clean. It is equally suitable for rain jackets and other functional garments. The many bags, rucksacks and outdoor projects beautifully demonstrate just how versatile the Colourful Collection is.
Colourful Collection by Cherry Picking *083044* Oxford fabric made from 100% polyester, 155 cm, approx. 210 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Martindale >60,000, *water-repellent*. Available from 21 August at the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.
Plush wide-wale corduroy

Plush wide-wale corduroy Plön
Cosy, hard-wearing wide-wale corduroy
Plön is a wonderfully soft plush wide-ribbed corduroy that you simply can’t stop touching. The pronounced wide rib gives the fabric its distinctive, opulent look and makes it appear quite different from classic corduroy fabrics. Added to this is the incredibly silky-soft feel and a subtle, elegant sheen that beautifully brings out the colours. Plön is available in four harmonious colours: dusky pink, beige, khaki and ochre.

As soft and elegant as Plön appears, it is equally robust. With a Martindale rating of over 90,000, this fabric can withstand a great deal and is therefore ideal for projects that need to be not only beautiful and cosy, but also hard-wearing. As well as bags and rucksacks, Plön is a great choice for furniture and upholstery, floor cushions, pouffes, cushions and dog beds.

The designs beautifully demonstrate the variety of ways this fabric can be used. Plön has been used to create, amongst other things, round floor cushions or pouffes, a cosy dog bed, and various bags and rucksacks. The plush wide-wale corduroy can be used over large areas or as a targeted, fluffy accent.
Plön combines particularly well with sturdier fabrics. Plön and our decorative fabric Rom are a perfect match: Rom provides stability and structure, whilst Plön adds the soft, fluffy element. Plön looks particularly harmonious when paired with Rom, for example. Beautiful accents can also be created with patterned woven cottons, such as Dotty or Heide!

A fabric that combines a sumptuous look, a silky-soft feel and exceptional durability, and which takes on a very special character thanks to its distinctive wide ribbing.
Our tip for working with the fabric: Due to the thick pile, loose fibres will naturally come away when cutting. It’s best to have the hoover to hand and give the fabric and cut edges a quick go-over after cutting. This quickly removes the loose fluff, allowing you to carry on working with Plön with complete peace of mind.
Plön *083037* Plush wide-wale corduroy made from 100% polyester, 140 cm, approx. 420 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Martindale > 90,000. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.
Flannel
Maverick & Hudson: Favourite flannels in new colours and designs
Our popular flannel fabrics, Maverick and Hudson, are back and will be showcased at the Swafing trade fair in August 2026 in a new, versatile range of colours and designs. From classic and modern checks in various sizes to versatile melange shades, there’s something to suit many different looks. Perfect for autumn and winter, but equally lovely for projects that can be worn all year round.
Both fabrics are made from pure cotton flannel and are lightly brushed. This gives them a wonderfully soft feel and makes them particularly comfortable to wear. At the same time, they aren’t too thick and can be worked with beautifully. Details such as collars, pockets, gathers or ruffles also turn out wonderfully with these fabrics.

Maverick brings the classic flannel look with its varied checked designs. The new colour palette ranges from muted greens, blues and natural tones through warm combinations to striking red and black variants. Hudson complements the checks with a wide selection of mottled plain fabrics. Here, understated natural and grey tones meet green, petrol and various shades of blue and navy. This means both ranges can be combined beautifully with one another.
Flannel is wonderfully versatile and is by no means limited to the classic lumberjack shirt. Shirts and blouses, dresses and skirts, pyjamas and loungewear, scarves and accessories can all be sewn from it. Depending on the cut and styling, you can create casual, classic or modern looks for all ages. The fabrics are wonderfully unisex and look equally good in women’s, men’s and children’s wardrobes.
Whether it’s a classic check or a subtle melange look, Maverick and Hudson combine the typical cosy character of flannel with a pleasantly lightweight feel and plenty of new ways to mix and match.
Hudson is a mottled flannel with an interesting look and a great texture. It comes in many versatile shades. The mottled effect created with dark yarn gives Hudson a subtle denim look, which really brings out the colours.

Mottled & slightly brushed cotton flannel Hudson with a denim look
Hudson is back! Many of you are already familiar with our popular mottled cotton flannel. As there has been repeated demand for it, we’ve brought it back. Hudson combines the wonderfully soft, slightly brushed feel of flannel with a casual denim and mottled look. The fabric is pleasantly light and not too thick, making it ideal for working on finer details.
The new colour range extends from light sand, beige and taupe shades through khaki and petrol to light blue, denim blue, dark blue and deep midnight blue. The marled effect gives the colours a special depth; depending on the light, they appear beautifully vibrant and display a subtle, silky sheen.
The many different styles demonstrate just how versatile Hudson is. Shirts and shirt-style blouses, a casual shirt-dress, a loose-fitting skirt and various blouse styles highlight the fabric’s beautiful drape and show that flannel is by no means limited to classic shirts. Hudson is also wonderfully suited to dresses, pyjamas and loungewear, scarves and other accessories.
Hudson looks particularly lovely when combined with Maverick checked fabrics. The colours have been chosen to allow for numerous combinations. For pyjamas, for example, mottled Hudson trousers can be paired with a checked top. Similarly, collars, cuffs, pockets or other details made from the other fabric can be used as accents.

Hudson *083046* Mottled cotton flannel, brushed, 100% cotton, 150 cm, approx. 145 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Brushed cotton flannel ‘Maverick’ with checked patterns
Maverick is our wonderfully soft, brushed cotton flannel, available in a wide range of checked designs. The pure cotton ensures a pleasant feel and high comfort. The fabric is not too thick, making it versatile and ideal for creating finer details.
The checked patterns offer something to suit a wide variety of styles. The colour palette ranges from shades of khaki and green, through beige and camel, to various shades of blue and grey, as well as bold red and black. There is also plenty of variety in the patterns. Subtle, classic checks sit alongside larger, more striking variations. Naturally, the typical red-and-black lumberjack look is also included. Depending on the colour scheme and cut, Maverick can look classic, casual, rustic or truly modern.
Maverick is, of course, ideal for shirts and blouses. From the classic lumberjack shirt to a casual boyfriend-style blouse, a wide range of styles is possible. But dresses and skirts, pyjamas and loungewear, flannel hoodies, scarves and shawls can also be sewn from this soft flannel. As the fabric isn’t too thick, finer details such as collars, pockets, cuffs or gathers can be beautifully executed.
Our tip: Maverick is also ideal as a lining for jackets and coats. The cotton flannel makes the inside wonderfully soft and cosy, whilst the checks ensure it’s a real eye-catcher. This looks particularly lovely when the lining peeks out when you open the jacket or turn up the sleeves.
Our tip: The mottled cotton flannel Hudson is of the same lovely quality as Maverick and combines superbly with the checks. Many of the colours echo one another, so the two fabrics complement each other perfectly. Mottled trousers with a checked top, pyjamas made from both fabrics, or Maverick details on a Hudson design are just a few of the possibilities. This means you can keep combining checks and mottled fabrics in ever-changing ways.
Maverick *083047* cotton flannel, brushed, 100% cotton, 150 cm, approx. 145 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.
Punto di Roma & Jersey

Punto di Roma / Romanit Jersey Modena
Punto di Roma with excellent structure and an elegant drape
Modena is a Punto di Roma, also known as Romanit jersey. This type of jersey is knitted more densely and compactly than classic jersey, giving it significantly more structure. At the same time, it remains elastic and comfortably flexible. It is precisely this combination that makes Modena so versatile.
The fabric has a firm texture, a lovely feel and a beautiful, controlled drape. Thanks to its high viscose content, the fabric does not feel stiff, but remains comfortable and supple. Cut details are shown off to particular advantage. Box pleats take on a lovely depth, collars and wider sleeves retain their shape, and even boxy or oversized tops look clean and modern.
Modena is ideal for anything that needs a little extra structure. Trousers, skirts, jackets, sporty blazers, suits and smart two-piece outfits work particularly well in this fabric. For skirts, Modena is a dream because the fabric drapes beautifully whilst still offering sufficient structure. Trousers also benefit from its lovely structure – from elegant styles with a crease to more casual, wider cuts and even shorts. And Modena isn’t just for women’s fashion: the children’s shorts shown here clearly demonstrate how beautifully this fabric can be used for simple, slightly smarter children’s wear. Thanks to its stretch content, it remains comfortably flexible. It’s also perfect for sewing trendy boxy shirts, tops with wider sleeves or casual jumpsuits.

The designs beautifully demonstrate just how versatile Modena is: from elegant combinations of trousers and tops, through to dresses, skirts and jackets, right through to casual jumpsuits and children’s fashion. Depending on the cut, the same fabric can create very different looks – sometimes smart and dressy, sometimes modern and sporty.

All pattern information for the in-house exhibition designs is linked in the image database!
The pleasant weight enhances the beautiful drape and gives Modena its distinctive quality. The fabric is particularly lovely for autumn and winter, though many styles can easily be worn all year round.
Modena also offers a wide choice of colours. As well as classic plain shades, there are several mottled variants. The range extends from beige, medium brown and olive, through to burgundy, light blue and various shades of denim blue, right up to navy, grey, anthracite and black.

Modena *083035* Punto di Roma / Romanit jersey: 65% viscose, 30% polyamide, 5% elastane, 140 cm, approx. 350 g/m². Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Lyon cotton jersey
For little horse fans and car enthusiasts
With Lyon, two lovingly illustrated children’s designs are featured on our classic cotton jersey. Both designs tell little stories and offer plenty of details to discover. One is all about horses, whilst the other takes you to a colourful scrapyard.
The horse design features young riders and their four-legged friends in various scenes. Horses and ponies, riding equipment, trees and small animals are scattered across a soft pink background. The warm natural tones of pink and orange give the design a particularly harmonious look. Perfect for little horse fans and lovely on T-shirts, dresses, leggings, pyjamas and many other favourite items.
The second design is all about tinkering, stacking and pottering about. At the scrapyard, little animal mechanics are bustling about amongst old cars, tyres, spare parts and a crane. The motifs in petrol blue, orange, yellow and muted natural tones really stand out against the light grey background. An original children’s motif that tells a completely different story to classic vehicle designs.
Lyon also offers plenty of options for mixing and matching. The ‘Dallas’ fabric, for example, or the ‘Romanit’ jersey ‘Modena’ go particularly well with the scrapyard design. The colours complement the jersey’s shades beautifully. This means you can create matching shorts to go with a patterned T-shirt, for instance.
This pleasantly stretchy cotton jersey is ideal for T-shirts, long-sleeved tops, dresses, leggings, pyjamas and comfortable children’s clothing. Smaller offcuts can also be used to sew hats, neck warmers and other matching accessories.

Cotton jersey Forest Animals
Lovely forest stories on cotton jersey
With Forest Animals, the name says it all: this cotton jersey is teeming with lots of lovingly illustrated animals, and there are always new little details for children to discover.
The first design takes us right into the heart of the forest. Amidst the trees and small plants, we encounter deer with their fawns, foxes, wild boars, raccoons, hares, an owl and little birds. Mushrooms, berries and other lovely details complete the little forest scenes. The warm orange and brown tones of the animals, combined with the various shades of green and petrol blue of the forest, create a beautiful, natural colour palette.

In the second design, the squirrels take centre stage. Sometimes they’re perched amongst delicate flowers and grasses, sometimes they’re dashing across the pattern or holding a little treat in their paws. This design is available in two colourways – on a light natural or cream background and on a very delicate pink. The bright rust-orange squirrels look particularly lovely against both backgrounds.
‘Forest Animals’ is a wonderful children’s fabric for comfortable T-shirts, long-sleeved tops, dresses, leggings, pyjamas and cosy outfits. The individual motifs also work beautifully for smaller projects and accessories such as hats, snoods or scarves. The many little scenes make the fabrics particularly exciting for children – there’s always something new to discover when wearing or looking at them.

Forest Animals *082968* cotton jersey: 95% cotton, 5% elastane, 150 cm, approx. 210 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Cotton jersey Dog friends by Mrs Mint Design
This is where little dog lovers really come into their own! ‘Dog Friends’ by Mrs Mint Design features a whole host of cute, illustrated dogs, accompanied by little bones and paws that blend discreetly into the vibrantly designed background.
This classic cotton jersey is available in two warm, striking colourways. A vibrant terracotta orange creates a cheerful look, whilst the fir green version has a slightly calmer, particularly lovely autumnal feel. The natural brown and beige tones of the dogs harmonise beautifully with both colourways.

The designs show just how beautifully these colours can be incorporated when sewing. Brown, used as an accent colour, pairs perfectly with both colourways whilst bringing a sense of calm to the playful design. Whether used for cuffs, trousers or patch pockets and other details, it creates harmonious combinations for little dog lovers. Shirts, tunics, hoodies, dresses, leggings and cosy sets can all be made beautifully from this stretchy cotton jersey. Little extras that echo the theme are particularly cute, such as the ‘Dog Friends’ appliqué on the green design or the dog motif on the pocket of the orange set.

Cotton jersey Mantua
Mantua brings a world of adorable animals and wonderful variety! These cotton jerseys feature a wide range of lovingly illustrated animal scenes, each telling its own little story.
A little raccoon in a yellow raincoat sits against a light blue background, spreading cheer on grey days with raindrops and little dots all around. Against a light grey background, however, it’s off on a grand adventure: a giraffe, a fox, an elephant, a raccoon and other little friends travel together through the design in a colourful animal train. The little wolves on a white background are also particularly cute. Different poses, delicate paw prints and little splashes of colour bring this otherwise understated design to life.

Two further designs each depict little scenes. Against a light blue background, various animals meet in a dreamy lunar landscape featuring a ladder, trees and little houses. The safari design brings together giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, rhinos and colourful birds gathered around large trees. The subtle white-and-beige striped background provides a lovely, calm backdrop for the richly detailed motif.

As different as the five designs may be, they are united by their soft, child-friendly illustrative style and gentle colour palette. Perfect for T-shirts, bodysuits, pyjamas, dresses, leggings and many other favourite items for little ones.
Mantua *083054* cotton jersey: 95% cotton, 5% elastane, 150 cm, approx. 210 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Cotton jersey Nara
Nara brings a lovingly illustrated farm world to cotton jersey. There are five coordinated designs available in two colourways: on white and in a beautiful classic shade of blue.
The focus is on the richly detailed farm design featuring a barn, a tractor, a trailer and lots of little farm animals amongst trees, flowers and fences. The matching fabrics pick up on individual elements and colours from the main design: one design features animals in a meadow amongst flowers and trees, complemented by tractors, loosely scattered watercolour dots and colour-coordinated stripes. This means the five jerseys can be combined wonderfully with one another.
The two colourways open up a whole range of different possibilities. Against white, the delicate watercolour shades appear particularly light and cheerful, whilst against the classic blue, the muted, warm tones are shown off to their best advantage.

The range of styles also demonstrates just how versatile Nara is: the cotton jersey pairs particularly well with our Clarissa waffle jersey from the Basic range. In the little jacket, Nara is used as a lining, allowing the farm motifs to stand out beautifully when the jacket is opened. It can be paired with a T-shirt, romper, hat and many other little favourites. The Nara designs are also a great choice as a lining for boiled wool jackets and boiled wool overalls.

The neutral designs, such as stripes and dots, are of course also suitable for older children, teenagers and adults!

French Terry & Modal-French Terry

French Terry Lenny
Lovely forest stories on French Terry
Lenny brings a wonderfully autumnal and playful feel! Six lovingly illustrated designs featuring the forest, animals and little stories await you on classic French Terry – perfect for baby and children’s clothing.
The first designs take you right into the heart of the forest: against a natural-toned background, a fox, a squirrel and a roe deer frolic amongst small plants and other charming details. A second version in light mint features a lively forest scene with trees and various forest dwellers.
The autumnal rain motif is particularly charming: a fox, a bear and a mouse are out and about in their raincoats and wellies, dancing through the puddles and bringing a real lift to grey days. This design is available in natural and light blue.

And Lenny tells even more little forest stories: on light blue, funny mushrooms wearing glasses make for a real eye-catcher, whilst on a deep dark blue, a fox and a girl can be spotted amongst plants, geese and other little forest creatures. It is the dark background in
particular that makes the warm orange, red and natural tones of the illustrations glow beautifully.

The lovingly designed motifs aren’t too large. This is a big plus, especially for smaller sizes. The models shown demonstrate very clearly that much of the design is retained even on smaller pattern pieces.

All pattern information for the in-house exhibition designs is linked in the image database!
The many beautiful examples show just how versatile Lenny is to sew with. Among other things, the team have created jumpers, a dress, a romper and a sleeping bag for the little ones. What’s more, this classic French terry is perfect for jumpers, hoodies, bloomers, jogging bottoms, dresses, skirts, cardigans, rompers or dungarees. It’s also ideal for sewing sleeping bags and cosy accessories for babies and children.
Lenny offers no fewer than six very different designs, ranging from delicate forest scenes and humorous mushrooms to a cheerful autumn walk in the rain. A beautiful range for comfortable baby and children’s clothing for the cooler months.
Lenny *082914* French Terry: 95% cotton, 5% elastane, 150 cm, approx. 250 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August as part of the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

French Terry Waldfreunde by Sabine Marschall
Waldfreunde (german for „Forest Friends“) by Sabine Marschall is a beautifully coordinated range of French Terry fabrics. Little foxes and hares amongst delicate fir trees form the main design. This is complemented by a delicate watercolour polka dot and a striped pattern in the same soft colours – natural white, mint, warm beige and a hint of coral tie all three designs together.
It is precisely this coordination that makes ‘Forest Friends’ so versatile: the cute forest animal design is lovely for babies and young children, whilst the understated stripes and polka dots are also perfect for sewing items for older children and adults. Of course, all three designs can stand on their own, but they look particularly lovely when combined.
Our cover model from the new Swafing magazine also shows just how harmoniously they work together: on the dress, the little ‘Waldfreunde’ meet the matching stripes, which are repeated in the skirt section. The matching headband picks up on the animal design once again. A delightful example of the fantastic combinations you can sew using these three designs!

French Terry Elli
Small scattered flowers on French terry
Elli features tiny scattered flowers on classic French terry. The delicate floral pattern is densely scattered across the entire surface, giving it a lively look without being too large or bold. Tiny blossoms in warm shades of red, pink and orange are set against petrol-coloured leaves, creating lovely splashes of colour.
Elli is available in three colourways. On beige, the floral design looks warm and natural; delicate dusky pink adds a soft, playful touch; and on dark blue, the tiny blooms stand out with striking contrast. Thanks to its fine, all-over design, Elli is particularly versatile to sew with and works beautifully even on small pattern pieces. This French terry is ideal for jumpers, hoodies, T-shirts, dresses, skirts, bloomers, jogging bottoms, cardigans and cosy sets. The small pattern is also wonderfully suited to baby and children’s clothing, though the floral design is by no means limited to children. Depending on the cut, it can also be used to create equally lovely garments for teenagers and adults.
A simple floral design offering plenty of sewing inspiration, which – depending on the colour scheme chosen – can look delicate and playful at times, or slightly more classic and high-contrast at others.

French Terry Cheeky Animals 2.0 by Thorsten Berger
With Cheeky Animals 2.0, Thorsten Berger’s wildly humorous fabric range enters its next phase. Three hand-drawn characters bring plenty of personality and a good dose of self-deprecating humour: the wonderfully unproductive duck ‘UnproDUCKtive’, the comfortably unmotivated Highland cow ‘unMOOtivated’ and the quirky black cat ‘Cute, but Psycho’. Added to this is ‘Moonlight’, another very special take on the Highland cow.
The designs are laid out as panels on French terry and are particularly large and eye-catching. This allows the hand-drawn characters to really come into their own on the finished garment. Especially with smaller sizes, it’s a good idea to position the pattern on the panel
before cutting. This way, you can play around with the large-format design and choose exactly the section that best suits your project.
Each panel comes with a matching all-over coordinating fabric that echoes the panel’s background design. This allows the panel and all-over fabric to be combined particularly harmoniously – or the coordinating fabric to be sewn on its own.
An overview of the French terry fabrics:

UnproDUCKtive
Not in the mood for productivity? This duck shows you how it’s done! ‘UnproDUCKtive’ takes a humorous approach to doing nothing and is an eye-catcher on both the front and back. The motif works particularly well on a jumper: the wonderfully listless duck on the front, and its equally unproductive reverse side on the back. The light, slightly speckled background and the orange accents give the design its unmistakable look.

unMOOtivated
The shaggy Highland cow clearly has other plans today as well. ‘unMOOtivated’ appears completely relaxed on the front, with its head resting – and on the other side, its no less charming reverse. The design is available in two subtle colourways. The knitted jumpers show particularly well how beautifully the front and back can be combined: the design can be continued across the sides of the garment.

The unmotivated Highland cow is available in brown/taupe and light grey.

Moonlight
‘Moonlight’ brings a completely different atmosphere to the range: the black silhouette of the Highland cow stands out against a glowing full moon. The deep dark blue, textured background makes the bright moon shine particularly impressively and creates a striking, atmospheric look. The matching all-over print continues the dark blue background design and combines perfectly with the panel.

Cute, but Psycho
Big eyes, black fur and a look that really says it all: ‘Cute, but Psycho’ combines cuteness with a wonderfully quirky twist. The intense purple and the graphic, slightly wild background texture make the black cat particularly expressive. The matching all-over print picks up on this design perfectly and offers plenty of ways to mix and match.
Whether it’s a casual jumper, a hoodie or your very own favourite project: Cheeky Animals 2.0 combines Thorsten Berger’s unmistakable humour with expressive motifs and plenty of ways to mix and match – and is guaranteed to bring a good dose of cheer to your sewing machine.

French Terry Panels & All-over – thoughtfully designed down to the last detail
Cheeky Animals 2.0 offers plenty of options for personalised combinations. The panels are each approx. 90 cm high, giving the large-scale motifs plenty of space. The interplay between the panel and the matching all-over print is particularly exciting: the background design of each motif continues into the coordinating fabric, allowing it to be integrated particularly harmoniously into a sewing project.
The designs also demonstrate just how beautifully this works: the front and back can be made from the panel, with the motif even continuing visually across the side of the garment. Similarly, the panel and all-over print can be combined – for example, for the front and back panels, sleeves or other details. And, of course, the all-over prints also work perfectly on their own.
The French terry, made from cotton and elastane, is pleasantly soft and stretchy, and is ideal for hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatshirt dresses, long-sleeved tops, jogging bottoms and many other casual sewing projects. Thanks to the striking motifs and versatile coordinating fabrics, you can create a wide variety of looks for children, teenagers and adults.
You can discover even more from Thorsten Berger in the Chillmas Club range. Here, his unmistakable humour meets Christmas: Wellness Santa, Trouble the cat and Rudi the reindeer create wonderfully relaxed Chillmas vibes on cosy sweatshirt fabric.

This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for these expressive designs.

The design examples – illustrated using two designs as examples – show just how versatile the designs can be. Sometimes the striking print stands on its own, whilst at other times the top and trousers are combined to create a colourful complete look. It is particularly on larger surfaces that the extraordinary colour gradients can really come into their own.

Modal-French-Terry Connected to Universe by Christiane Zielinski
Galactic colour schemes on soft modal French terry!

Delicate blossoms, soft colour gradients and a wonderfully harmonious colour palette: Velvet Bloom by Mrs Mint Design brings floral lightness to a wonderfully soft modal French terry. The small blossoms and delicate leaves are scattered loosely across the watercolour-style background, creating a playful design that also has a pleasantly calming effect.
Velvet Bloom is available in two colourways. A light petrol blue is paired with delicate blossoms in pink, lilac, white and mint. The second version plays with shades of purple and berry tones and is also beautifully lightened by the pale blossoms.
Thanks to the soft, flowing modal French terry fabric, Velvet Bloom is ideal for comfortable garments that are a pleasure to wear whilst still looking special. The designs show just how beautifully the colours of the pattern can be complemented by matching basics. Plain fabrics in petrol, mint or violet complement Velvet Bloom particularly well. Ruffles, bows and small, playful details emphasise the romantic character without making the designs look too frivolous. This results in tops, dresses, skirts and many other favourite pieces for children – and, of course, they look wonderful on teenagers and adults too!

Heavy Sweat Aspen
Heavy Sweat with leopard print and graphic design
You may still remember our Aspen Heavy Sweat as ‘Heavy Leo’, and because this cosy sweatshirt with its on-trend leopard print was such a hit with you, it’s back by popular demand! This time, there aren’t just new leopard print colours, but also a brand-new, trendy design featuring a graphic line pattern.
Aspen is a lovely, heavyweight, brushed sweatshirt fabric – wonderfully soft, cosy and warm, making it perfect for hoodies, sweatshirt jackets, hoodie dresses, warm tracksuit bottoms and many other projects for the cooler months. A particularly lovely feature is the colour-coordinated reverse side in the respective base colour, which can also be used beautifully as a design detail in suitable patterns.

The graphic design plays with fine, irregularly arranged lines and geometric shapes. It comes in four harmonious colour combinations: natural with taupe, dusky pink with aubergine, brown with deep dark brown, and denim blue with dark blue. Modern and graphic, yet at the same time so understated that it’s perfect for sewing wonderfully wearable pieces for teenagers and adults.
And, of course, the ever-popular Leo is back again, this time in several new and familiar colourways that can be mixed and matched in countless ways. The range includes: natural with brown, dusky pink with aubergine, light brown with dark brown, royal blue with black, light grey with anthracite, grey with black, and dark red with black.

Particularly exciting: some of the Leo colours and the striped pattern are colour-coordinated. This means both designs can be combined beautifully, for example for colour-blocking, contrasting sleeves, hoods or other details. Of course, they work just as well on their own or paired with matching plain fabrics.
Aspen is therefore just the thing for anyone who likes to stay warm and cosy in autumn and winter, whilst still looking modern and expressive.

Brushed sweat fabric Chillmas Club by Thorsten Berger
A relaxed Christmas
With Chillmas Club by Thorsten Berger, this year’s Christmas celebrations will be all about relaxation. Instead of the usual Christmas stress, the focus is on cosiness, humour and plenty of Chillmas vibes. Three hand-drawn designs with a touch of whimsy meet a cosy, brushed sweatshirt, bringing a wonderfully different kind of Christmas spirit.
Joining the line-up is Wellness Santa, who prefers to spend the festive season cosily in his bathrobe and slippers. Trouble the cat, on the other hand, has got herself tangled up in a string of red fairy lights and is causing her very own light-filled chaos. And Rudi the reindeer, with his big red nose, string of lights and ‘HO HO HO’, spreads an extra dose of Christmas magic.

Models: Visualisation.
The colour scheme of the three designs is particularly lovely. Trouble the cat is set against a deep, dark lilac shade, against which the red lights almost seem to glow. Rudi really stands out against a dark blue-green shade, somewhere between green and petrol blue. Wellness Santa presents himself as a true ‘VIP’ of the Chillmas Club against a dark blue, geometrically patterned background – in a red bathrobe, with slippers, cucumber slices on his eyes and a coffee mug in his hand. Christmas could hardly be more relaxed.
Each design is presented as a panel approximately 87 cm high and is complemented by a perfectly coordinated matching fabric. For Trouble and Rudi, the respective subtly speckled background continues as an all-over print. For Wellness Santa, the geometric tone-on-tone pattern is available as a matching fabric. This allows you to combine front panels with matching sleeves, hoods or back panels to create complete Christmas outfits.

The pleasantly warm, brushed sweatshirt fabric is perfect for the cold season and is ideal for hoodies, sweatshirts and many other cosy Christmas projects. The designs aren’t overly large, so they work just as well for children as they do for teenagers and adults.
Chillmas Club is therefore just the right little fabric collection for anyone who prefers to celebrate Christmas with humour rather than hustle and bustle, and who wants to sew their creativity into their creations with a good dash of Christmas humour.
Do you like Thorsten Berger’s distinctive sense of humour? Then be sure to check out Cheeky Animals 2.0! The hand-drawn characters are available as expressive panels, each with matching all-over coordinating fabrics on French terry.

Knitted fabric

Brushed knit fabric Bono
Made in Italy: Bono in five on-trend colours
Bono is a true Swafing classic and has long been an indispensable part of our range. Many of you have known and loved this popular Italian cotton knit for many years. For the virtual Swafing trade fair in August 2026, the extensive colour palette is now being expanded with five new colours: pale yellow, lilac, moss green, light denim blue and royal blue.
This ‘Made in Italy’ knitted fabric impresses with its high cotton content and its pleasantly soft, slightly brushed surface. The reverse side is particularly cosy and fluffy, making Bono wonderfully warm. At the same time, the fabric is durable, washes very well and retains its beauty even after frequent wear. A fabric for your favourite homemade garments that you’ll enjoy for a long time to come.
Bono really shows off its versatility, especially in autumn and winter. Cardigans, jumpers, hoodies, dresses, waistcoats, skirts, triangular scarves, loop scarves, hats and scarves are just a few of the many possibilities. The fabric is also wonderfully suited to classic men’s jumpers, making Bono a true all-rounder for the whole family.
The new colours look particularly lovely when paired with other fabrics. The new shade of lilac, for example, combines beautifully with the corresponding shades in our current range of viscose woven fabrics. This means that even a light blouse or dress made from viscose woven fabric can easily be worn into the cooler months when paired with a matching Bono cardigan. When selecting the new colours, we have deliberately ensured that they can be combined with the fabrics from our current autumn/winter collection and the new trade fair fabrics.
Whether it’s a casual jumper, a cosy cardigan or a simple dress, Bono is a timeless favourite for autumn and winter and ideal for a versatile capsule wardrobe.

New additions include ‘Paddy’, in the same fabric but as a two-tone double-faced version, and ‘Merano’, our soft teddy plush with a high cotton content. This means there are various options for jackets, waistcoats, cardigans and many other cosy sewing projects, depending on the project and the look you’re after.

Double-faced Teddy-Fleece-Boucle Paddy
Teddy Fleece Bouclé now available as a two-tone double-faced fabric
You’re already familiar with our Teddy Fleece Bouclé; with Paddy, this popular fabric now takes on a whole new dimension. Paddy is of the same quality as Teddy, but is crafted as a double-faced fabric with a fleece reverse in a different colour: the cosy bouclé side and the fleece reverse feature different, perfectly coordinated colours.
The colour combinations are also what give Paddy its special appeal. Sand meets natural, brown meets taupe, sage meets mint, berry meets old lilac, dark blue meets light blue and black meets anthracite. Depending on which side is worn on the outside, the finished garment takes on a completely different look.

Paddy is a fantastic fabric, particularly for jackets, waistcoats and cardigans. The two different sides can be deliberately highlighted whilst sewing, for example on collars, hoods, lapels or turned-up sleeves. Paddy is, of course, particularly exciting for reversible jackets. Here, both sides of the double-faced fabric can really come into their own, giving you two exciting looks from a single garment – not just in terms of different styles, but also in a second colour! It’s also ideal for a capsule wardrobe: one piece, countless possibilities.
The teddy fleece bouclé is also wonderfully suited to typical outdoor jackets and cosy garments for the cooler months. The combination of a fluffy bouclé surface and a soft fleece side makes Paddy particularly interesting even without an additional lining.
Paddy *082947* Teddy fleece bouclé, double-faced, 100% polyester, 150 cm, approx. 390 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available from 21 August at the Swafing in-house exhibition, whilst stocks last.

Teddy Fleece Bouclé Teddy
with a colour-coordinated fleece reverse side
Teddy is a modern bouclé fleece with a soft fleece reverse, combining two particularly comfortable features: on the outside, the trendy, voluminous bouclé texture with small curls; and on the inside, a cosy fleece side. The reverse is always tone-on-tone with the bouclé front, so the fabric looks particularly attractive even when left open.
The fabric is soft, warm and, at the same time, pleasantly lightweight – ideal for cosy clothing. Thanks to the fleece reverse side, Teddy feels particularly comfortable against the skin and is also easy to sew. The fabric is available in a total of 22 colours, ranging from classic shades to modern, on-trend colours.

The distinctive bouclé texture picks up on a key fashion and streetwear trend for the coming season: teddy fabrics are currently everywhere – from sporty jackets to casual accessories.

Teddy fabric is ideal for garments such as jackets, turtlenecks, waistcoats and teddy coats. Colour-blocking designs, which combine different colours, are particularly popular at the moment. The fabric is also perfect for children’s clothing, cosy outdoor styles and casual streetwear looks.
What’s more, teddy fabric is also brilliant for bags, rucksacks or bum bags, where its voluminous texture adds a special touch. Thanks to the colour-coordinated fleece backing, even simple cuts instantly produce high-quality results – perfect for quick sewing projects.
Teddy *082930* Teddy fleece bouclé made from 100% polyester, 150 cm, approx. 390 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. With a colour-coordinated fleece reverse side. Available whilst stocks last.

Teddy Plush Merano
A favourite fabric with a cosy feel
Merano is our new, wonderfully soft teddy plush with a high cotton content. Teddy fabrics have become an integral part of current fashion, and Merano now offers a new option for anyone who prefers a high cotton content in their cosy fabrics.
Its natural, soft feel is particularly lovely. The pile is made of pure cotton, making Merano wonderfully fluffy and pleasant to the touch. This fabric is ideal for teddy jackets, waistcoats and hoodies, as well as for bags, play mats, cushions and cosy home décor.
Merano also offers a lovely selection of colours. Alongside natural shades and warm teddy and brown tones, there’s dusky pink, sage, denim blue and light grey. This allows for both understated, natural looks and beautiful colour accents.
The colours are also coordinated with our Teddy Fleece Bouclé Teddy, opening up further possibilities for mixing and matching. Merano is also a great complement to Gobi. The different qualities and matching shades can be beautifully combined, particularly for jackets, waistcoats and other cosy projects.

Merano *083040* Teddy plush made from 80% cotton, 20% polyester, 150 cm, approx. 300 g/m², certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Available whilst stocks last. Delivery September / October 2026.
