Bettwäsche Panels und mehr: Spring Joy von Birgit Boley
Panels muss man einfach lieben – sie sind so praktisch! Alles passt wunderbar zusammen, man braucht kein Schnittmuster suchen und ausdrucken und kann sich im Handumdrehen ein tolles Set nähen, das sich auch ideal als Geschenk eignet! Birgit Boley hat sich für Euch jetzt ein besonderes XXL-Panel ausgedacht: Aus dem Spring Joy Webware Panel könnt Ihr ein komplettes Kinder-Bettwäsche-Set nähen, in das eine Standard-Bettwäsche Garnitur für Kinder passt. (1 m x 1,35 m mit Kissen ca. 40×60 cm). Dazu gibt es noch ein zusätzliches rundes Kuschelkissen von ca. 30 cm. Ein Panel ist ca. 2,10 m lang. Habt ihr schon mal so eine süße Wende-Bettwäsche zum Selbernähen gesehen?
Dazu braucht ihr keine große Nähanleitung – auf dem Stoff der Bettwäsche Panels sind Nahtzugaben und Schnittlinien bereits markiert. Bei der Bettdecke wird der Stoff unten doppelt umgeschlagen (je ca. 1 cm, auf dem Stoff markiert) und abgesteppt, an beiden Seiten ca. 15 cm geschlossen, dann bringt man die ebenfalls auf dem Panel enthaltenen Bindebändchen an. Das Kopfkissen wird mit einem Hotelverschluss gearbeitet und aus dem runden Panel könnt Ihr ein oder (mit etwas passender Webware für die Rückseite) gleich zwei Kuschelkissen nähen. Auch süß als Wandbehang oder sogar als Spieluhr!
Dein Kind ist noch zu klein für eine richtige Bettdecke? Näh´ eine süße Krabbeldecke aus dem Panel oder denke Dir etwas ganz Anderes daraus aus. Wir sind gespannt auf Eure Ideen! Wir haben für Euch mit Birgit Boley eine Nähanleitung zur Verfügung gestellt – da ist alles erklärt!

Neben den beiden Allover-Designs (etwas größer als auf der Spring Joy Webware) gibt es zwei Jersey-Panels von ca. 65 cm Höhe. Darauf jeweils ein großes Motiv mit Maus bzw. Igel und an der Seite der dazu passende Kombistoff mit Streifen und kleineren Tierchen.
Natürlich sind die Panels wieder mit praktischen Schnittlinien versehen.

Everything matches and fits perfectly! These projects make quick and thoughtful gifts. Birgit Boley has drawn up two especially adorable extra large panels from which you can quickly stitch up an entire child’s bedding set to fit a standard European child’s bed ( 1 m x 1.35 m, with pillows measuring approximately 40 cm x 60 cm). In addition, there is a little round throw pillow measuring approximately 30 cm in diameter. A complete bedding panel measures approximately 210 cm long. Your little ones are sure to have sweet dreams tucked under these adorable covers.
You don’t really even need instructions: The seam allowances and cutting lines are already printed on the panel. Just fold over the bottom edge of the duvet cover 1 cm twice as marked and stitched. Secure the ties (also included on the panel) in this stitching line. For the pillow, fold over the two short ends of the pillow piece 1 cm twice toward the fabric wrong side and stitch; fold the repeat pattern over the main front panel right sides together, pin right and left edges and stitch to make an envelope pillow cover. Finish the seams and trim the corners for a smooth turn. Birgit Boley will provide detailed sewing instructions in time for delivery of the fabrics! Stitch one or two (by using a matching solid for the back) throw pillows from the round panels. Or mount the round panels in wooden embroidery hoops to make cheap and cheerful wand decor. Is your little one not yet old enough for a big kid bed? Then lay batting between the two coverlet panels and stitch up a quick floor blanket. Or get creative! Make a sleeping bag or floor futon from these pieces. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
The children’s bedding panels are available in grey with Mouse Matt and in mint green with Hugh the Hedgehog. We have the same all-over print found on the cotton woven in a somewhat larger scale as a cotton blend knit jersey, as well as our friends Matt and Hugh as combination panels with little Matts and Hugh in a repeat pattern. These panels feature handy lines for accurate cutting.
