As you’ve come to expect from Swafing, we will have detailed sewing instructions for all of the projects on the panel in time for delivery.
Take inspiration from our crack team of test sewists, who came up with so many great and different ways to use the panel. Every piece of the panel can be used in any number of ways to create happy handmade summertime pieces. Let your imagination be your guide!
Three color worlds to make every camper a happy camper!
The Happy Camping panel comes in three variations: “Hawaii” (red / yellow / mint green), “Maritime” (blue / light blue / orange) and “Edel” (meaning “elegant” in gray / beige / black). Great for letting off some wanderlust steam and getting into the spirit of the fun adventures to come.
Typical Steinbeck: Look for the little cute details and graphic hand lettering on the panels. Everything is just perfectly thought out! Create a stylish home-away-from-home with handy, happy handmade items. Add your own take with the combining fabrics you choose. “Edel”, in particular, can really take on a whole different vibe, depending on whether you choose to go serene, with calming gray-beige tones, or pretty, with pops of bright pink, for example! The same goes for “Hawaii” and “Maritim”. Turn the tonal volume up or down, depending on which accent colours you wish to emphasize. All three panels are perfectly colour-matched to Swafing’s “Heide” cotton wovens and acrylic-coated oilcloth “Luisa”.

All parts are labeled on the panel and a list or required notions and materials is included on the panel. There will also be detailed sewing instructions made available, so that even very beginners will be able to sew the projects on this panel. The projects were developed in collaboration between Steinbeck and AnneSvea!

“Window” & Vista clear foil for trendy sewing ideas!
See clearly! Swafing has a terrific new transparent material to create fun and functional items for the home, the beach and everyday! This sturdy PVC material is perfect for see-through shoppers, fanny packs and backpacks for everyone with nothing to hide–a must for some concert venues and music festivals, which do not allow other kinds of bags for safety reasons.

Please note that this material is somewhat cumbersome to turn, particularly for smaller projects. We recommend sewing from the right side and encasing the exposed edges with bias tape! If your item does require turning, make sure that the turning openings are big enough to maneuver the stiff material! Keep it simple: Choose projects with few seams. Our test sewists, for the most part, created these items without the aid of a sewing pattern. Our sample sewers used a hair dryer or fan heater to carefully warm the material a bit, then it briefly softens a bit and is easier to turn.

It does not necessarily need a pattern – our sample seamstresses have sewn many models without a pattern simply according to the desired size! We will gladly provide you with further processing tips! Even plotting with flex film is possible!

Stretch NANO Softshell is such an amazing material: The elastane content makes this softshell particularly comfortable to wear, as the fabric has give and recovery. And oh-so versatile: Perfect for transitional jackets, vests, coats, all-weather joggers, and children’s play pants. Our NANO softshell with a breathable membrane is water and wind repellent and has a fleecy colour-coordinated reverse.

Our new stretch NANO softshell “Finn” comes to you in a cute, child-friendly forest friends print, as well as striped designs great for all ages. Choose the stripes in varying widths on black or dark blue or the bold block stripes in two variations.
